Pepi is describing newer Kurts. Yours are older but just as good after a cleaning and rebuild.

Why build the walls twice? If you have them do commercial girts you can run 6" of insulation horizontally, vapor barrier, then sheet it.

Being 16' tall in the center I would definitely go with a 14' tall door. That would allow any RV to fit.

I don't understand why more people don't go with commercial girts. You would then be able to use 6" insulation and your choice of inside sheeting. You're not building the wall twice.

My poles are 12' apart with double truss on each pole except single on end walls. Purlins are 2x6s between the trusses with hangers that were installed while still on the ground.

Looks great! I would put more insulation in the walls before inside sheeting if I were you.

You have been around the wrong brand of heaters then. I have an Omni that I installed used. It costs about $5 in filters per year and about 2hrs in maintenance I can easily do myself. Mine starts in cold weather without a problem even if it hasn't run for a week.

Are you putting any camber back in the axles before final welding?

Mine is 30x48x14 with a 14x13 door on the gable end and 1 man door on one eve side. One thing I didn't do but added later was a second man door on the opposite gable end for ventilation and easier access to the back of the building.

I am in central WA and built my own 30x48x14 about 5 years ago. When I looked in to paying someone the labor was about 30% of the bids.

Way to general. A 1/16" cobalt in mild steel will run about 3900 rpm. A 1" in mild steel will run about 240 rpm.
