    New Lumber Prices

    Timber/lumber material over here (Ireland) still going up. Had another prive rise email in on Monday... 20% increase for September. Madness! Same with most other building materials as well. Last year we were buying sheets of a393 mesh for £38. It's now around £100 a sheet.

    I use this type which I have made up a stand for; https://www.drapertools.com/product/60981/Coil-Spring-Compressor-Kit I have never seen full struts available new over this side of the atlantic so we are generally always disassembling struts to do broken springs/ laky shocks/ rough top bearings.

    Gabion baskets. Galvanised wire baskets filled with rock/ stone. Water wont erode the stone away but I am not sure if the galvanised wire basket would fail after a while.

    Do standard sockets/ outlets in the US not have a switch? I've never seen/ heard of anything like this happen personally over here. Not that it ever hasn't to someone. Also very hard to dislodge a plug from our socket even by yanking on it due to the wire coming in at the bottom of the plug...
