jacks I've used both the racing and regular ( heavier duty ) floor jacks form HF. The racing ones are less stout than the regular ones. So unless you ned the really low hgiht. save money and get the better jack. Grant

No. Despite the fact that I dont trypically do it, raising a car stright up, and lowing it on a solid jack-stand, means it will be very stable. And shoudl something happen during that time - you are nto under it. So that's a pretty easy "no". Plus, the jack stand almost cannot "deflate"...
