    Vessel e assist ratchet?

Luck of the draw mostly, got a call one day from a buddy who needed to hire a new technician and I was excited to leave the job I had at the time. We had known each other for a few years and he understood the niche level of autism and OCD I have No sewing experience before walking in, just the...

    Vessel e assist ratchet?

I'm an in house technician for a very large hat company you've definitely heard of or worn lol We have ~450 embroidery heads and ~50 traditional sewing machines with different post styles Lots of work out there and very few technicians, one of the major brands lost 2/3 of their older techs...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Found this on marketplace for 200$, not the best deal in the world, but it was the color I wanted and immediately available. All the harbor freights in the state are out of the series 2 yellow boxes already

Hairline Crack in a hex driver.

I've broken my fair share of Allen drivers over the years, mostly metric as I'm a sewing and embroidery machine technician. A visiting tech brought this in today and I noticed it was gaining and losing iron decor twists as he used it, took a closer look and found this hairline crack down the...

    Hammer time!

Unfortunately not, someone must have taken the handle from something else? It's much heavier than it looks too, definitely steel though.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Glad to see some history on these, been 3 years no issues. Accidentally cut one of them, the stand is gone it was way too bulky Wish the 4x6s didn't have the pith of the tree, but they aren't checking too bad Fresh coat of paint tonight

    Hardware Organizer Shelf Done

Got tired of needing the bottom bin in a stack on a shelf. I went through weeks of looking through forums and took some inspiration from posts here and elsewhere. Most of my hardware is in Flambeau tackle boxes, similar to Plano 3700s but thinner, I loaded them up with stainless hardware when I...

Bump. First shipment came in, I can't find any of the older "PB204" Allen wrenches that have the spinning sleeve on them. They were discontinued in 2015 apparently Love the smaller hex keys though, cheaper and way more comfortable than Bondhus versions

    "Back Dragging" a File

Years and years of older shop guys yelling about back dragging files Some concrete evidence that back dragging, even at full pressure, doesn't affect a file at all. If anything, it's more efficient. Seems like more guys would benefit from a file card more than anything.
