    Suggestions on Fluid Evacuators?

I’ve got the mityvac one that hooks up to shop air, forget the mode number. The hand pump one works ok too, probably good for home use.

Great experiences of Tool Truck patronage.

We have an aswdome mac guy, unfortunately he is retiring soon, been at it 30+ years. Never an issue with warranty and has anything we order the next week. Recently have a snap on guy stopping by, he’s good too. Very well stocked truck, makes some deals and easy to deal with. Haven’t seen Matco...

    12pt fasteners

12mm 12 point on ford driveshafts. I know I’ve used 12 point on small block ford head bolts, but I think they were ARP bolts. Toyota axle bolts.

US general full of snap on?

My us general cart at work is full of my most used snap on, Mac, Cornwall and a couple others. The rest lives in a Matco 6s. I really don’t care about it being a us general, there really isn’t another cart as good as it anywhere near the price. Another guy at work has the same one.

    Good XZN set?

Check out the vim set. I’m fairly certain Cornwell rebadged them and possibly Mac too. I’ve had a set for some years used professionally, have held up great.

    Flex head ratchets

Another vote for the 84 tooth gearwrench set. I’ve used them professionally along side my snap on and Cornwells and they’ve held up great. The detent works great and the heads are super thin

    Semi Deep sockets...

I’ve got 1/4 and 3/8 semi deeps at work, and they are nearly all I use in chrome. I’ve got impact semi deep in 3/8 as well

    Do I need 23mm and 25mm sockets?

Some drain plugs are 23mm. I’ve used mine on a Miata and I think some kias transmissions and rear diffs.

Best 1/4" Bit Ratchet on Market?

I’ve got the vim hbr4, has worked great the past couple years. My boss has the Mac one and it seems nice too, although larger

Caliper wind back - LH vs RH

Most of the ones I’ve seen are mid 2000s fords. I’ve got an older harbor freight set with both of them, I’m sure it’s the exact same as the cheaper ones on amazon. It’s worked fine for years professionaly, but I don’t use it all that often, just on the wind in ones. I have a ratcheting Lang one...

Specialized tools / OTC vs OEMTools

In a professional environment yes it is. DIY you’re fine with an otc or clone. They do pop up used on eBay for $400-500.

Specialized tools / OTC vs OEMTools

Nope I have the snap on bjp1 set. That one you linked does look otc style. https://store.snapon.com/Ball-Joint-Presses-Set-Master-Ball-Joint-Universal-Joint-Press-22pc-P644058.aspx

Specialized tools / OTC vs OEMTools

Snap on one is made by snap on and in a league of its own, not made by otc. The adapters snap together, press is bigger and heavier, has a grease fitting on the screw, and requires less adapters. I keep the Astro one around for doing joints as it’s much lighter. Oem makes decent stuff from...
