I've run piles of Metabo, GripRite and Harbor Freight nails though my Hitachi Framer and Metabo (Hitachi) 15ga guns. Never had any issues with any of them.

I have the HF manual jack. Since I have had it, I have used to it remove a Five Speed from a 96 Ranger, a TH400 and Dana 20 transfer case from a Jeep J10, and a G56 and transfer case from a Dodge Cummins 3500. We did that one twice. Its worked fine each time, with zero issue.

Perhaps so. When I worked in manufacturing a long time ago, we had a tool crib run by a third party vendor. If we had a tool break, we had to bring the broken tool to the crib to get a replacement. Not a clue if they ever got warrantied back to the manufacturer or not.
