    Home hobbyist micrometer set

I am looking for a mic set for home use, I am not a machinist but I do mess with my share of small block Chevy's, Kohler engnes and motorcycle engines and would like to build a flathead ford one day. I'd like to be able to check piston clearances and bearing/journal clearances at home. I...

    Main Breaker Problem

I forgot, the breaker at the Main Panel is an 80 amp feeding the 2-2-4-6 MHF. I edited my post to show that. The 100amp breaker in the sub panel is the one that fried. I emailed square D and they are sending a new breaker.

    Main Breaker Problem

I just installed a Square D QO, 100 amp sub panel in the garage. I connected to the main panel with mobile home feeder 2-2-4-6. There are only 5 circuits currently wired in the garage: (2) 20 amp outlet runs, (1) circuit for outside lights, (1) for inside lights and (1) 30 amp air...

Looking for an exhaust fan- explosion proof?

I have 24x36 shop with 10' unfinished celings. I would like to add an exhaust fan to the gable on the wall opposite of the garge doors. The walls and ceiling are not yet insulated but on day will be, along with finishing the ceiling. What CFM range should I be looking at? I sometimes paint cars...

100 amps to shop. What wire size?

Thanks Pattenp for all your help. I just have one last question on this subject, what is the advantage or disadvantage of the 2-2-4-6 vs the 2-2-2-4 other than cost? I would assume the 2-2-4-6 would be less expensive.

100 amps to shop. What wire size?

So, mobile home feeder @ 2-2-2-4 or 6 with a 90A breaker should work fine for me. I would like to run it through conduit, what size would you suggest?

100 amps to shop. What wire size?

What do you think of this Compressor?

I am in the market for a larger compressor. Right now I have a 20 gal Charge Air Pro (oil less) that puts out 8.3cfm @ 40 and 5.8 @90. This compressor is barely adaquate but gets the job done. I would like to buy this as the last compressor I need to buy. I know 2 stage is where it's at, but I...

    WTB: Craftsman King-Seeley drill press

Looking for a working/restoreable Craftsman King-Seeley drill press. I would buy either a floor mount or a benchtop model, although the floor mount would probably have to be picked up. I live in North Central West Virginia and don't mind driving alittle or paying for shipping. Email or PM...
