Insulation in today's world is a hard one to read with everything from Fiberglass, Blow-in Cellulose, Spray foams and their different type, to wool rock. Now that said lets look at them and there trade off. To start fiberglass baits are the old and well known type of insulation. Their cheap...

    Scissor lift ... downside??

I dont have any expresie with this types of lifts, but a lifetime with two post and four post. From what I have read on here they work great for cars(unibody) and ok for some suv. I would never put a real truck on one of this. I work on almost nothing but Trucks and Tube Chassis for 4x4's and...

    What is the catch?

You know thats one of the beautiful thing about Texas. As long as you are not in a WIND ZONE or a Major City(and even thats lacking in over site, just look at some of the buildings in Houston) and are the own of the property, you can build this without all the zoning and permits. Just as long is...

    Pole Barn Security

SB7979 I'm i hear you on that, but I would never authorize any countdown beyond 60 sec. And Texas law would only allow for a 30 sec countdown as the minimal.

    Pole Barn Security

Sb7979 If you use a OHD to enter the building, then i would put it on its own zone and programm it to have a long count down time tell fire off the siren. but the wireless remote is always nice to have. :P

When and where do your "eureka" moments happen to you?

    Pole Barn Security

To start you dont alway have to have net out there. I have installed Tons of cameras in barns and metal building in 6 years of security work that didn't have net on site. The thing to think about is how the building will be sealed(Door types, windows, Etc.). Then the layout of open spaces in the...

    Air Compressor Opinions

When looking to do paint and body it more about CFM and DUTY CYCLE than anything else. If you plan on painting large projects you can spined up to a 20 - 30 minutes at a time on the trigger depending on how big the project is. Then you need to add if you're going to be using a Fresh air system...

    Upright shop vac?

I would take Ray up on the Whole-House vac. Nutone makes a really good unit, it will damn near pull the dirt from under the concrete pad lol. The only thing is you will have to use special pvc pipe for it. It's a thin wall pvc, and I mean THIN. You will need to make sure the pipe is cut square...
