    saw horses

Hands down the best saw horses we have ever had- http://www.fultoncorp.com/stablemate-folding-steel-sawhorse/ We use them almost daily for putting hardware on garage doors. We also have a set in the shop to stack doors on, they will hold a ton of weight and are very stable.

Do you own any Allen brand hand tools?

We used to use Allen sockets and some other hand tools for work. Farm n Fleet used to carry them, but have since dropped them, maybe because they are out of business. Seems like they just switched to all DeWalt hand tools and Craftsman. They were/are actually pretty good quality for the price...

    Ferrul swager

This will fit your needs- http://ddmgaragedoors.com/parts/part/CCR-10.html. We work on garage doors and carry this one on the truck. We didn't get it from that particular place, but I'm fairly positive it is the same one we have.

Best lube for toolbox drawer slides

I sprayed mine down good with Super Lube aerosol spray and they slide very very nicely. In the past I have also used silicone spray with pretty decent results.

opinions on the use of chrome sockets on low power impacts...

I used to use chrome sockets on our impacts, until we got our new Milwaukee impacts. 99% of everything I do, I use a 7/16" socket, and after running in a few thousand self tappers it would crack, no big deal. Once we upgraded tools though, it was maybe a couple hundred and it would crack, I...

are snap on kr 557b dividers removable

I don't know the model of my box off hand, but it is very similar to yours. I have taken some of the dividers out and nothing bad has happened yet, my drawers definitely don't sag. I can see the point where they stiffen the drawer, but it doesn't really make sense when not every drawer has them...

    Safety glasses

These are my favorite- http://www.shop3m.com/3m-virtua-protective-eyewear-11330-00000-20-gray-anti-fog-lens-gray-temple.html I wear them as sun glasses and safety glasses. Pretty hard to beat the price on them, plus they come in different colors and clear as well. The only downfall is that they...

Progress on new Ideal tool factory.

That is great to see. Been way too long since I have seen any factories being built around here.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Got a new Wilton vise today. So excited! The old one gave up the ghost a long time ago. And here is my new to me drill press. Went through two of my uncles, now it's mine. Just needed a very very good cleaning. And I know our shop is a mess. We have been busy.

    Gearwrench Warranty

I got a 10mm stuck on a flanged bolt that I backed out too far and wedged it against something. The only way it would come out was with a lot of force. By the time I got it out, it was locked up. I took it to Farm n Fleet and they replaced it no questions asked. They carry both sets and singles...

WD 9600 Garage Doors are Extremely Poor Quality

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Garage doors are just about like everything else, you get what you pay for. Wayne Dalton makes a cheap, lower quality door, at least their residential doors are. We sell CHI and they have a lifetime warranty on rust through to the original owner, so I...

    Thread Pitch Gauge

Thanks for that, I didn't even consider a store like Menards to carry something like that. Looks like the local store even has them, I will probably just go that route. Thanks again. The threads I need to measure are in the 1/2" range, so not small. I usually prefer to buy good tools, but this...

    Thread Pitch Gauge

So I need to measure some threads which I believe are metric. I don't have a way to measure them, so I would like to buy a thread pitch gauge, but I have no idea what to buy. I would like the option to measure both metric and standard sized threads with it. I found this one, am I right in...

Which basic chemicals should I have in my auto garage?

A couple more that I keep on hand are battery terminal cleaner and the terminal spray for afterwards(not sure of the technical name), a couple flavors of anti-seize, a couple flavors of RTV sealant, and a couple flavors of Loctite.

Thinking of converting manual roll doors to electric

Your best bet would be to just call a door company who installs roll up doors and see what they offer. They should be able to answer any questions you have about it, since they do it everyday. We have never installed an opener on a door like this, but we sell LiftMaster products and they are...

I honestly thought I would use it more, but the few times I have used it, it was nice. I don't regret buying it.

    Fender Covers

I just got a Mac fender cover a few months ago when I bought a wheel step. They still make them- http://www.mactools.com/en-us/Pages/Search.aspx?k=fender%20cover#d=g
