That's probably what will happen for the wrenches. Maybe if there's enough room in one of the 0450 trays, I can fit a wrench tray in there to be more space efficient, since the wrench rolls seem like they can take up quite a bit of space when rolled up.

I think I am going to go with the 0450 for the majority of my basic tool needs, then like you're saying, I will probably look for some standard pelican case and use that to organize other misc/larger tools.

The triple and double banks that I have looked at all have roughly the same depths in their drawers. I would not need the advantages of larger drawers to contain a large amount of similar tools. Most likely larger drawers will not be physically divided up but they will definitely be organized...

This will be for home garage use. I am debating between going with a triple bay box (~72" long) or going with two double bank boxes (~58" long /each). Price wise, they'd both end up costing about the same for me. The difference would be the two double bank boxes would add up to a lot more...

Actually, I was considering mounting a vice onto the top. I am assuming it is still possible with a steel top? Is it actually solid steel all the way through or how is it constructed?

I have also considered having a stainless top and then using a slab of wood to work on if/when necessary as well. Not sure if that's practical or not yet, but just a thought.

What are the pros and cons of having a stainless steel top versus a wood butcher top? Initially I thought a wood butcher top may be better, since it has some give in it when working on certain parts versus a stainless top which would be more solid.

For those who went from a slightly deeper box @ ~25" to the HF box @ ~20" drawer depths, did you feel like it was that much of a compromise in storage capacity/options?

Thanks for the info guys. I don't plan on rolling it around a lot, since it'll be for my personal garage use. Looking slightly closer at the picture with the first drawer open, it almost seems like I can make out a divider in there, which is similar to the older proformance boxes correct...
