I like this idea, but will elaborate on it by using some adhesive first then a finish nails. My plan is to seal the bottom between Trex and the concrete to seal floor and no water can leak to the lower level of the shop.

I already own the Trex that I will use as base in my shop. My question is, is there an adhesive that would hold it to the sheetrock. I would rather not drill and screw it on.

Most pictures I've seen have the pump after the heater (why I do not know) so you are saying the expansion tank should be between the heater and the pump? Thanks

Probably not a big deal but need to ask. Have you had direct comparison with these two mfg.'ers? I need to buy a 7' x 16' door. The price is pretty close so it comes to dependability, which is better? Cloplay or CHI?

Does it matter where the expansion tank is within the system? I see it mounted in numerous locations. Cold side? hot side? in front of the recirc pump? ???

I've got that same unit, not running yet though. My shop is 1200 sq ft. How much space are you heating? Do you use the domestic hot water too?

I just finished over 200 lineal ft. with a Ryobi wet saw and 4" blade, worked great. Now fill the cracks and apply finish. Rustoleum concrete epoxy or Sherwin Williams Crete Shield?

As I watch videos on You tube about garage coatings I see installers using what appears to be athletic shoes rather than spikes. Any input on pros and cons to that?

Nomad; I'm in the same boat as you, deciding on what epoxy to use then base. I am considering 4" aluminum diamond plate for the new 1200 sq ft shop. Yes more expensive but in the overall project cost not a huge increase over the vinyl base I used in my garage. What are you putting on your floor?

What is the most versatile wet saw? There is the table style or arm style. The armed saws generally have a lot stronger motor than the tables. What is the most versatile?
