    Single post lift???

After a bunch of research I’m coming to find that lift choice is tough for my small 20’x20’ garage which has double doors and a support post right smack in the middle. I wouldn’t be doing any major work (atleast not in this garage), but I’ve always done my own work on all of my cars and love to...

Mid vs Full rise lift for routine maintenance???

Thank you for the very detailed reply When looking at a 4 post vs scissor, why did you go with a mid rise over a full rise? Stratus now has an updated unit that looks much more similar to the Twin Busch unit, and is priced accordingly. I’ve been in contact with Dan and will ask him the same...

Mid vs Full rise lift for routine maintenance???

After a bunch of research I’ve realized that a scissor lift may be my best bet for my small 20’x20’ garage which has double doors and a support post right smack in the middle. I wouldn’t be doing any major work (atleast not in this garage), but I’ve always done my own work on all of my cars and...

Best china direct source for a scissor lift?

I’m not sure, but this is why I’m doing research on it

Best china direct source for a scissor lift?

I have not, but because of the size of my garage I cannot fit a 2 opiate and I’m stuck with a 4 post or scissor lift style. I’ve seen plenty of threads on here that give them great reviews. Believe me, I’d love to go to a single door and rip out the attic above my garage so I can run a 2...

Best china direct source for a scissor lift?

After a bunch of research I’ve realized that a scissor lift is my best bet for my small 20’x20’ garage which has double doors and a support post right smack in the middle. I’d like to keep this at or around $2500 which has my eyes set on the Twin Busch and Stratus mid-ride models. After closer...

Surface mount scissor lift floor requirements?

I have noticed the issues of these lifts sliding being mentioned My idea was to drop a couple of those epoxy set flush mount anchors in so as to be able to flip the lift around if need be. This way I can easily un-bolt, spin it around and bolt it back down. Technically these lifts do have a...

Surface mount scissor lift floor requirements?

I have a tight garage that is 20’x20’ with double doors and a support post right in the middle, so lift choice is tough. I’ll just be doing regular DIY maintenance and tinkering. With that, I’ve been doing research on surface mount scissor lifts and currently have my eye on the Twin Busch and...

Twin Busch (or comparable) China source???

Funny you mention Stratus as I have come across them in my research. They have so many different scissor lifts that it’s tough to tell what’s what. Some do look to be the same exact lifts as Twin Busch for a couple hundred cheaper.

Twin Busch (or comparable) China source???

I have a smaller garage that is 20’x20’ with a pole right smack in the middle and double 8’ doors. So, without any modifications a 2 post lift is out of the question. I was debating on a 4 post vs Scissor lift and I feel like a scissor lift is more advantageous for my scenario of DIY...

Best type of lift for my small garage?

I do like the idea of a scissor lift that has its own ‘track’ like that vs the others that just roll along the floor. It seems like it would operate smoother and not need such strict floor requirements. What were some of the other similar style scissor lifts like this one that you were...

Best type of lift for my small garage?

Hmmmm, as much as I would love a two post lift, I really think this May be the way I have to go for my limited space. May I ask what lift that is exactly? Do I have to check anything with my floor/slab for compatibility with a scissor lift? The slab is decently smooth and has been painted by...

Best type of lift for my small garage?

So, I do not have a ton of room in my a garage, but I’d love a lift to make routine maintenance and tinkering easier. My two car garage is only about 20’x20’. The right bay is for my car (‘18 Camaro 1LE) and the left bay has my tool chest, work bench, bicycles, etc. The right bay where the...

For a DIY mechanic, HF vs Husky 72”

And now it turns out I can get the Husky for $600! Apparently this guy had 3 brand new ones and I got him to unload this last one. Now we’re at close to a $500 difference in price

For a DIY mechanic, HF vs Husky 72”

I don’t plan on adding on top or to the side. If anything, I’d get a separate 26” roller Yup, the one you linked looks to be in the same line. Which I’m unsure is just painted matte black to look tough or is actually made out of heavier materials

For a DIY mechanic, HF vs Husky 72”

Hmmmmm, this is a tough one because I feel like most reviews compare the cheaper Husky boxes, while the one I’m looking at is the ‘Heavy Duty’ which I think is actually made out of better materials...or, it’s just painted Matte black vs gloss black

For a DIY mechanic, HF vs Husky 72”

I don’t plan on getting another box to put on top, so I should be fine. Slides are basically universal once you have the dimensions. If a slide completely shits the bed I can figure out a way to replace it.

For a DIY mechanic, HF vs Husky 72”

Thanks for all of the replies. I will not be putting another box on top, so the raisable too will be usable by me. It seems like a good ‘hiding’ place. I do wish Husky made a few more other pieces that matched. That’s one thing I really like about the US General stuff Does anyone know if...

Close, but that’s not it...I edited my original post and posted a link to the two boxes I’m looking at

For a DIY mechanic, HF vs Husky 72”

So, I was all set on getting a US General 72” box. I got in on the sale and have one on order for $999, but now I just found a brand new in the box Husky Heavy Duty 72” (the matte black one) for $700. I’ve read the reviews and watched the videos. But, for a DIY home mechanic who likes playing...
