    Propane monoblock air conditioners

There's been a few people on a large internet forum that have imported them from china. I reached out to a company advertising one with a nearly 7.0 COP R290 air source heat pump, $3K landed for the 18kW unit. Definitely on my radar.

    Heating the floor or no?

This 1000% and I give almost everyone this same advice. The tubing is the least expensive thing you will buy when it comes to the floor, maybe the vapor barrier plastic, but other than that there's no reason not to. You can't put it in after the pour unless you pour it again, so it's literally...

How full is this 500 gallon propane tank?

Propane furnaces do not like running out of gas, great way to soot up the heat exchanger... hopefully it has a low pressure cutoff.

I was all set for mini split, but…

This looks just like the senville floor/ceiling unit I installed this week. Did the pioneer come with mounting hardware for the indoor unit?

Radiant in floor heat system help

If you can run NG to the shop then that's a no-brainer. A modern NG condensing high efficiency tankless water heater or boiler in place of that tanked unit and let it rip. The 15-58 pump wont be enough for a tankless water heater since they are designed with 50+psi of domestic supply pressure...

Diesel Heaters are keeping me warm

Not direct fire, has a burn chamber. Flue is the 1" stainless pipe.

Air in Hydronic System causing no heat

I may have missed it but does this zone have a flow control valve? Possible flow loss?

    Fire Extinguishers

I've read but not tested that some RV antifreeze (propylene glycol) helps out. High concentrations it is flammable. If you have an outlet near it, get a cheap stickyback heating pad for it that draws a few watts. https://nfsa.org/itm-2-2/antifreeze/

Schrader valve like a tire valve stem on the opposite side of the water fitting. Set cold to 15psi then set system water pressure to 15.

Radiant Floor pump and plumbing choices

Did you adjust the air pressure in the expansion tank to match the system pressure when cold?

    Compressor Plumbing in Large Shop

Great advice. I've seen free 20-30 gallon oilless compressors that burned up from being ran all day with good tanks.

    Compressor Plumbing in Large Shop

Again, no issues, regular pex, regular T8 bulbs, and before them it was a single 400w metal halide.

    Compressor Plumbing in Large Shop

If the cost makes sense you can run it in electrical conduit as mentioned previously, if you need to shield it from direct sunlight say right in front of a window etc. Use straight sticks of it. PEX-AL-PEX is nice because you can bend it and it stays but is more expensive and so are the...

Of course! Be sure to bring the system up to about 15psi before putting into service.

HUG Hydronics Radiant In-Floor Heating System???

I hear you on this, but how much dissolved oxygen is in the average domestic water supply that heater is built to endure? There's no cast iron boiler being used here.

Radiant Floor pump and plumbing choices

This is the correct response. Source: FIA, Inc. https://share.google/YgCzl6BAVY7D0LMDm @OP, it did run for 18 years so need to find out what changed, you mentioned the heater is acting erraticaly, any more info? Are you charging system to 15psi of pressure before putting it in service? I'd...

    Compressor Plumbing in Large Shop

40x60x16, plumbed with 3/4" and 1/2" standard PEX with crimp fittings back in 2010. No issues. Some ran in wall some ran surface mount. PEX goes to a 4-5" black pipe ******/tee drop leg that mounts to framing better than pex, then to 1/4 air fittings. Use it after your cooler/dryer and it's...
