Mesh Network vs Access Point and POE

What he said.. I use ubiquiti and I love it! It’s cheap enough for a homeowner, has central management from one dashboard.. and is rock solid.. I do live sound for a living, and all my networking equipment for shows runs on ubiquiti.. I use AC pros APs, HD APs, and when needed the LR AP, and...

How do I fill my shop with music?

What kind of speakers are they? Because 95db is a tall order for home bookshelf speakers throwing a large distance.. Keep in mind, if you don’t have capability of delaying speakers to keep them in phase, you’ll need to keep them firing from the same plane to avoid phase cancellation. Look for...

Airless paint spraying - Getting small dots on the wall after priming

Also, did you mean PVA primer ? The kilz website says to use .017"-.021" tip/60 mesh filter. So it could likely be that you have the wrong tip... the one thing I did was buy several tips in different fan and orifice sizes.. helps a ton when you’re having problems.. just pop one in and try it...

Airless paint spraying - Getting small dots on the wall after priming

In my experience your nozzle isn’t shutting all the way when you release the trigger.. a little leaks out while you’re not spraying.. then when you pull the trigger again it sprays the buildup from your nozzle onto the wall After spraying like 50 gallons on my first gun, I went an bought...

    Any 5 car wide garages?

I have a 24x24 and it drives me nuts, too tight. I feel like if I had a 24x30 It wouldn’t drive me nearly as crazy.. I’m moving soon though so I plan to build 40x40 if budget allows Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Online RTA cabinets vs Lowes vs HD vs Chinese

Getting further along on the kitchen.. base cabinets installed. Waiting to get my quartzite countertops installed before I put the drawers and doors on. They] cabinets took very little finessing for everything to square up nicely and level out.. Hitting the road tomorrow for work, so I’ll...

    Air compressor after cooler.

I use a rapid air system, I ran it down the wall 24 feet away from my 80 gallon into my water and oil separators into a manifold.. one of the manifold outlets then pipes the dry air back down near the compressor to another manifold with outlets to my sandblaster and 2 couplers... $70 bucks plus...

Used Media Blast Cabinet set-up Problems

Yup, I have a very similar setup.. I use rigid pipe for my media return as well as my exhaust because I had little luck with the flex duct.. I have 3 dryers inline about 30 feet from my compressor but I still added a small TP roll style dryer with pressure regulator mounted on the sandblaster...

    Painting question

Depending on how big it is I’d buy or rent an airless paint sprayer... I own a graco x7 pro and a cordless TC pro.. love them, they paint so quickly that it’s worth the time spent masking. Takes a little to learn how to spray properly and get the right spray tip sizes, but I’ll never roll again...

Online RTA cabinets vs Lowes vs HD vs Chinese

Also check out barker RTA cabinets.. all USA made, Blum hardware, all wood construction.. 3/4” boxes and they screw together. You can get a quote right from their website.. I really wanted to order from them, but the lead time was 8 weeks, and I’m trying to sell my house so I couldn’t wait that...

Online RTA cabinets vs Lowes vs HD vs Chinese

Just thought I’d share pics/ small review of the conestoga RTA cabinets purchased via the cabinet joint. cabinet quality is excellent, fit and finish are Amazing. I wish I’d sprung for thicker drawer bottoms, but other than that I’m very happy.. everything is made and sourced in the USA...

    rattle_snake's shop audio system

Just realized I wasn’t looking at the most recent photo.. I see they’re pretty close now, but I’d bump the mains a touch so the Subs and mains are on the same plane if possible..(unless you’re compensating with delay in your outboard gear) if so, soldier on and forget I’m commenting Sent...

    rattle_snake's shop audio system

Sweet build, I noticed you have subs in one wall and mains on another.. I know that subs are Omni directional for the most part, but you might gain a lot from firing them in the same direction.. more importantly having them firing from/on the same plane will ensure that they’re time aligned...

    Epoxy paints

It’ll need longer times between coats likely if you brush it on because of thickness.. if you have a compressor, any cheapo gun will do the job, isn’t hard to spray. Follow mixing, temperature, and redcoat instructions thoroughly in the manual. Pot life is 3-5 days If sealed.. I clean, save...

I’m using SPI epoxy primer... sticks really, really well. Don’t paint stuff you need to strip back to weld, cuz it takes a while https://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/primers https://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/primers Sent from my iPad using The Garage Journal mobile app
