Digital torque wrench with angle suggestions.

I believe the approach is using the Techangle purchase to get the truck to come visit him then dumping all his other broken tools on the driver. I'm curious to see how it works out.

Digital torque wrench with angle suggestions.

I agree. There are the CDI as well as high quality Taiwan options that do well in the accuracy department but none have a dual 80 head and some even have low (30/32) tooth counts. That was a deal breaker for me. I'm too accustomed to high tooth count, smooth mechanisms to put up with a crappy...

    Williams vs Wright Wrenches

Yes. Sometimes you need the thin profile of Snap-on for access. When you do not, the thick beams of the Williams feel excellent in the hand. As Fed said SuperCombos and Snap-on are completely different patterns.

Tekton impact socket doesn't fit in Hansen socket tray

I had this same issue which led me to discovering Westling Machine trays which are superior to Hansen.

    Long flex-head ratchet: 3/8″ or 1/2″ drive?

The head and handle on the extra long are beefed up to take the extra strain. That ratchet obviates the need for a breaker bar. I agree with you that things are likely to just keep getting more expensive. It's a hard call to just buy one ratchet though. Like most here I prefer power tools when...

    Long Handle Fixed Head Ratchets

The FL80 is fantastic. Capri and Gearwrench 90T are also excellent (so is the Carlyle but their price increases have killed the value). I would lean towards Capri for better warranty support. I love my Dual-80s and won't give them up but the 90T Taiwan ratchets are at least 90% of the quality...

MAC RBRT Torx vs. Snap-On Heavy-Duty Torx

Two different applications. The heavy duty removal is designed not to break when dealing with over torqued and rusty fasteners. RBRT is for damaged fasteners. Somebody needs to do some destructive testing to see if they are as strong as the heavy duty removals but I doubt it

What’s your Master Hex Set contain?

Impacts to 1.25” and 24mm. Hand drive to 19mm in half-cut, short, regular and long. I like Sunex for impact and VIM for hand drive.

    1/4” Bit Ratchet

I have just about every bit ratchet that VIM makes. They are excellent for confined spaces especially when combined with their half-cut bits.

Loose or destroy one socket, what do you do.......................

I like buying sets with good warranties or at least from vendors who sell singles. I don't break sockets very often but would consider it an excuse to upgrade. I'm still waiting to break a VIM Torx so I can justify Snap-On heavy duty removal or whatever the gold ones are called.

    Tekton Angle wrench set

Torque Test Channel proved that they aren't as strong as forged so your assertion is correct. However for hydraulic lines the torque requirements usually aren't too high. So it's true the Snap-On is stronger but for most applications it doesn't matter. Also Tekton will happily warranty the...

    Socket Drive Adapters: Which sizes/types?

Like these? Tekton Snap-On has a similar product in wobble plus that is often useful. I use a 1/2" to 3/4" to put 3/4" drive sockets on my high torque. It has plenty of power. Going that direction rarely breaks.

When are inexpensive tools "good enough"?

We haven't had one of these threads for a few days. Let me summarize if I can. We like expensive tools the best but hate paying extra for them?

any tried the new m18 brush cutter out yet

I'm not sure. I have a small yard. A 5.0 will drop to one bar before I'm done. The 6.0 only drops to 3. So it's a big difference both in power and run time. Someone with more property will have to comment on maximum run time.

any tried the new m18 brush cutter out yet

Yes. I just got it for my birthday. It works very well on thick brush and saplings up to about an inch. I'm very happy with it. I recommend HO batteries though. It's fantastic with my 6.0s but a little anemic with 5.0s.
