    I have had hand tools where the manufacture logo and part no. had been double, even triple stamped, but usually the stamping is overlapping the original or just above or below the original...But on this Wright 1" extension the name and part number are stamped all over...And what is the X GRAY...

    They were in there as well..The Snap socket set w/ratchet was dated coded 1947, so I was hoping the box was that old..Not custom made but also no identification markings as far as brand...I'd love to know who made it.

    I recently came across this old 20-1/2" x 8-1/4" x 5-1/4" tool box..Inside were various makes of tools, mostly dating back to late 40's to mid 50's...Unfortunately, any decal or logo that was on the box has worn away ..I was hoping someone might be able to identify the make and possible year...

    Hello, I pulled up the part no. on this 7/16" 1/2" Dr socket and was surprised to find out it was made by Snap On...There is a couple on line for sale but with no additional info....Is this a WWII socket (guessing because it is stamped 'Not Guaranteed')...If so, isn't it odd that they did not...

    Not sure what you did but I appreciate it...Was on Google off and on all afternoon looking for anything on Hoover's bench grinders and came up empty...Much appreciated...As for my friend, he passed away and I sort of inherited most alot of his tools..Thanks again.

    This Hoover bench grinder was a friend of mine's but I think it was his father's that worked at Hoover's in the 30's into the mid 60's...I found a little bit of info on Kingston and Connolly, but not enough to nail down an approximate year..Any general info on Hoover's bench grinders would also...
