    ^^^ Was always my favorite.

I'm looking for thinnest 1/2 impact sockets

SO are pretty thin. Generally, all sockets are made to DIN standards so apart from a few odd manufacturers there are all the same more or less.

    New HF ICON Breaker Bars

Do you not know that it says ICON on it??? A must for a HF tool collector. I've discovered a 1/4" SO breaker not long ago. Been using it ever since. Why? It's slim and goes into places in race cars where 1/4" ratchet cannot fit. Have a 18" 3/8 and a pair of 1/2 (18" and 24"). I can't...

Wera's latest, most complete 1/4" metric set

Looks alright (except for the stoned guy in the video) but hardly groundbreaking. First set or a home set, errrmm maybe. Another set? No way.

    Show me your work bench

Use Google search - works a lot better. Type in the following in the search bar (omitting the ""): "workbench site:garagejournal.com" Then switch to Images. Brew a cup of your favourite hot drink and enjoy.

    shop apron,who still uses one,and what type/brand?

Lincoln Electrics makes a welding one out of cowhide. No reason not to use it outside of welding applications. Quality item.

    Are air tools obsolete?

I'm sure it is as easy clipping on a battery as it is an air line. I'd just need to make sure I pre-charge all of the batteries for day's use. And repeat this about 8-10 times with each one of them as I go through my day. Nothing if you've a dozen of batteries and charges lying around eh...

    Are air tools obsolete?

Never, not in a million years! My air tools are typically preloaded with sockets, flap discs, saw blades for quick and easy operation. I can't imagine the amount of batteries I'd have to have on the tools all charged and ready... it just doesn't make sense. Not financially, not with the current...

Snap on losing their minds? 1/2” impact

It's funny as we have an old Makita LXT 1/2 impact lying around the shop for those moments when the air compressor is down etc. It's not particularly cared for yet never skipped a bit. I just checked the COO - yup, Japan it is.

Snap on losing their minds? 1/2” impact

I love my MG275 but must admit, the new SO impact gun line made me want to trade my impacts almost instantly. I'll wait to see what the feedback is like on them.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Still made in Taiwan though? The ratcheting mechanism is patented by a Taiwanese inventor :lol_hitti

    Heuer vise

Is this the one with non-removable jaws? I'd give it a miss then.

Input on Large Harbor Freight Welding Cart???

Totally agree with the above. Unless you weld like once a year, get separate carts for MIG, TIG and plasma. Maybe combine the plasma with MIG.

    EPIQ Top Box or...?

Happy for you pal. Your setup looks great. I wouldn't need as many drawers and my machinery would use up all your free space and mark that clean floor. I'd also be missing my 2 post lift quite dearly. It is probably as relevant to you as your post to the title of my thread. No offense friend...

How important is COO to you and why?

COO first. Quality usually follows COO pretty closely...

    EPIQ Top Box or...?

Ha! I was half thinking of getting a top storage to fit on top of the top box for big and rarely needed stuff. I wouldn't mind climbing to reach it every now and then but to do the same with the top box is a bit of a push.
