    AMGO/PEAK 407-P Four post lift

I did end up getting the Peak/Amgo 407-P. I’ll report back once I get it all assembled and run it a bit. Let me know if you have any questions.

    AMGO/PEAK 407-P Four post lift

I have not purchased it yet. Still shopping around to see if any other options exist with similar footprints. Not finding much that has a footprint as small at the 407-P. I just wish it was an 8000lb lift with 3/8” cables. The peak only has 5/16” cables. It likely makes no difference as I...

    AMGO/PEAK 407-P Four post lift

Wondering if anyone has experience with the AMGO 407-P Four Post Lift? Also seems to be branded as PEAK 407-P. I love the small footprint in this lift as I have limited width in my garage. The lift does not carry ALI certification but is CE Certified if that means anything… it’s a 7000 lb...

Looking for smallest footprint 4 post lift

I am looking to get a 4 post lift for my garage but I have very limited space to get the lift in and still be able to pull a car in beside it. I’m looking for the smallest footprint lift available. Ideally I’d like to be just under 100” in width (without the motor) and somewhere around 165” in...

Direct Lift ProPark 8S owners chime in

I would like the power unit to be on the post closest to the cars front right tire in this photo. I don’t think there would be any factory mounting options to do this. As you have mentioned I could get a longer hydraulic line from the power unit to the lift and wall mount it, but I’m still left...

That’s great to hear, would you mind sharing a bit about how you ended up setting up your power unit? Location, How you operate the locks, etc?

Direct Lift ProPark 8S owners chime in

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I think I’m going to steer clear of anything thats not certified. The peace of mind will be worth a lot when I’m standing under it. The ProPark 8S is really the perfect size for the area I’ll be putting the lift. The one thing I wish I had the ability to do...

Direct Lift ProPark 8S owners chime in

Any general thoughts on things you like and don’t like about the direct lift four post lifts? The only other lift I have considered is the BendPak HD9ST but I’m not thrilled about the air locks. I’ve also considered the Peak 407-P, it also fits my needs as far as capacity and dimensions and is...

Direct Lift ProPark 8S owners chime in

Appreciate you taking the time to measure. I am looking for the width of the lift from the outside of the post to the outside of the post of the ProPark 8S. I believe the measurements quoted on the website are the outside edge of the floor plate to the outside edge of the floor plate.

Direct Lift ProPark 8S owners chime in

Hi everyone. I think I’ve narrowed down my search for the 4 post lift and believe that the Direct lift ProPark 8S is the one. I have a couple of questions for those of you who own one. The website lists the overall width as 103.5” but I’m unsure if that dimension is the outside edge of the...

Sealer densifier on slab with crazing

So there is no benefit to applying densifier to a slab which shows evidence of crazing when wet? The concrete must be ground down before applying anything?

Sealer densifier on slab with crazing

So what would be my best course of action at this point? I’ve noticed that quite a few of the big box hardware stores around here have crazing in the floor and seems to have some sort of sealer on them, they seem to hold up quite well. Should I try densifier and see how it holds up or should I...

Sealer densifier on slab with crazing

I am looking to improve the durability and stain resistance of my garage floor. Unfortunately the concrete finisher told me to wait until the following day after the pour to start wetting the slab as it cures. After a very windy night I woke up to a very dry surface so I ended up with pretty...

    Drywall screw length

I am usually pretty good at filtering through the trash that makes up much of the Internet, but when I read that even USG recommends the use of 1-1/4” screws up to 5/8” drywall for increased resistance to screw pops that’s when I started second guessing.

    Drywall screw length

I had to shim a few of the studs so I just grabbed the 1 5/8” screws to account for any areas where additional length would be needed. Happy to hear it won’t be an issue and I will be using 1 1/4” going forward. I’d also like to know more about the disadvantages of the USG (or CGC here in...

    Drywall screw length

No glue, I am using 6 mil poly vapor barrier so the glue wouldn’t work.
