    Asking For Help/Advise.....Again!

Sorry it's taken this long to post. Have been moving to another state and it's taken me longer than I anticipated. No, I did not get it. When I messaged the seller it was sold lending pick up then shortly after that the list was marked sold. I'm keeping my eyes open for another one like that...

    Asking For Help/Advise.....Again!

Thank you. I remember Mr. McClain, in shop class 45 years ago, always stressing safety and ENFORCING the rules with a paddle, just in case you survived the mishap, lol! Drivesitfar: I've kept up with a lot of your posts. I love the bench vices and those 2 big welders you got a few months back...

    Asking For Help/Advise.....Again!

Ok. Sounds doable. I have to admit, I know some things about wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers and some general all around hand tools, but when it comes to the big power tools like this, I have to plead ignorance. I've never had a lathe and have always wanted one. Looked a a Craftsman 1hp on the...

    Help With Handplanes

I appreciate all of the comments. Honestly, it's been so many years since I've used a plane, it would take me a few pieces of wood to get back up to speed, lol! I remember sharpening those blades but can't remember ever using the corrugated bottom plane. My grandfather was a very practical...

    Best way to clean sockets?

I bought mine at Harbor Freight. If I'm not mistaken, I paid just over $20 bucks for 2 gallons. That was last November. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327A using Tapatalk

    Best way to clean sockets?

I too have that problem with my hands. I use a wire brush made of brass to get the worst of the rust off then soak in Evaporust. I got mine at Harbor Freight but I know a lot of auto parts stores carry it as well. Runs about $9 per gallon but you can use it over again until it no longer removes...

    Help With Handplanes

Ok. Thanks for the info. Would you know where I can find possible year made? I did run across a web site (name escapes me right now) after posting them up here that show a chart of Stanley, Craftsman and Miller model number comparison of hand planes made by Stanley but couldn't find any rate...

    Help With Handplanes

Hey guys. Long time no posts; even longer story. So...... Going through my tool box and run across these hand planes that belonged to my granddad. A Craftsman and a Wards Master. I forgot that I had them. I remember sharpening them both and using them a very long time ago. I can't seem to...

    Best place for compressor tank

Todd.Brock I would be interested in what you have if you’re willing to part with it. We’re probably pretty close so there wouldn’t be any shipping. Get back to me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    A little helpful advice.

Ok folks. Went to pick up some shelving and locking carpet squares from a place that's going out of business. I also scored this tank for $0! I know that I can put a compressor/motor on it. My question is, which/what one should I put on? I also have the promise of another and I believe it's...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Looking at your pix of this Armstrong box. The drawers and hardware look almost identical to a set of Stack-On boxes I have. My boxes are every bit 35+ years old. Wonder if they could have been made by Armstrong. I’ll have to take pix to show you in the morning. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
