For damn near the price of that snap on ratchet you could almost own a Milwaukee or similar brand impact and make short work of pretty much any bolt you come across. And speed up any work you need done. You’ll kick yourself for not having one sooner

Actually to me it seems like the opposite. The more expensive tool truck brands seem to have thinner walls for more access but maybe don’t last as long as cheaper socket sets. Pittsburgh pros will probably last longer than snap on however we know snap on will be around forever.

I wish us general made a choice between top box or hutch style top. Sorta like the Milwaukee boxes where half the height is drawers and he other half is a small hutch. Lord knows they’d sell the **** out of them just like all their other boxes.

I’m pretty sure I remember seeing somewhere on the garage journal someone saying that their is a way to get parts for the us general boxes. However I don’t remember the source but it might be worth the time investigating.

But a harbor freight and paint it white matching paint. There’s like 6-7 separate pieces and could make a nice little weekend project. A lot of bang for your buck. Just make sure you don’t tighten everything until you have it flat on the ground and the cart doesn’t flex a certain way

If you just want an extra set buy harbor freight or if that’s not good enough for you find a cheap Taiwanese set. Cheap but quality in most cases from Taiwan

Today’s plastics are pretty advanced. However at snap on prices I’d expect nothing but the best and longevity being a factor.

The Milwaukee doesn’t just compete with snap one cordless line, it completely dominates. In fact I’d rather use dewalt over snap on even if they have less mechanics tools available

If you can go without having box wrenches the dewalt 192 piece set has 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drive sockets ratchets and extensions. They are high quality Taiwanese made and are pretty much the same quality as the Mac tool truck Taiwanese tools. Can be had for as low as $150 and comes in a nice blow...

It’s a pretty solid cordless very comparable to the earthquake from harbor freight. Has decent power but also kinda hefty. My only complaint with the ac Delco line is that tools are hard to find unlike Milwaukee but for the price of free gift will be fantastic tool

I think it basically comes down to wether you’ll do some mechanics work at some point because Milwaukee’s impacts and ratchets far succeed any other brand currently. Otherwise it was stated above makita has better yard tools supposedly. I’d make your decision based on how your using the battery...

I would say the husky is definitely not well built lol. But it is indeed cheap tool storage and we don’t all need 10k snap ons that apparently last a lifetime of abuse. For a stationary box that’s gonna be well taken care of I’m sure the husky will suit your needs

The Taiwan dewalt sockets are actually very high quality for the price that you pay

In theory the 1/2 anvil should have less torque loss timce it engages the socket more but in reality they will probably be about the same
