Thank you. I don’t know where I purchased this flag but it isn’t printed on both sides. The flip side is weirdly washed out. I have already ordered a new flag.

Garage floor concrete paint removal and epoxy

Got everything done and I am thrilled with the outcome. I can finally start moving things over from the other house and start organizing my garage. Just ordered a new cabinet system and got my fox mustang over into the 3rd car. I’m a happy boy. Pictures: First thing to go up in the garage was...

Garage floor concrete paint removal and epoxy

Been a few days. Came home from work yesterday and walked on it for the first time. In socks of course. The floor looks and feels amazing. I laid out and pressed in the backer rod into the expansion joints in preparation for the sika flex. This morning I began the sika installation. It went...

Garage floor concrete paint removal and epoxy

4am this morning got the P100 rolled out. Used a 1/4 lint free roller for this coat. I mixed enough of the product to go around and do the stem walls and expansion joints and measured out the product into 3 parts. I poured the product out onto the square and squeegeed for even coverage and back...

Garage floor concrete paint removal and epoxy

Update: I etched the concrete since it had been so long since I ground the flooring while I was dealing with the paint in the expansion joints. I then pressure washed the concrete and removed all the material for a nice clean slate. The product I decided on is Arizona Polymer Flooring. I...

    Hotter climate epoxy install

That’s how it was explained to me by the concrete specialty store I purchased the product from. I just figured since my primer is my color coat that was how it was to be applied. My epoxy and poly are both clear. I have a call in to the manufacture but haven’t heard back from them and I have...

    Hotter climate epoxy install

Temps in the night time have been 80s. Just trying to figure out what time is best to start to stay out of the heat I have read your write up in how to install epoxy like 6 times. This is good to hear. I figured installers didn’t stop just cause it was hot. I just want to make sure I’m doing...

    Hotter climate epoxy install

What is everyone in hotter climate weather doing as far as install? I know how short the pot life of epoxy is and living in Vegas isn’t going to help me. I have to get my flooring done soon. I’ve been putting it off waiting for a cooler day but it just isn’t happening. Looking for some tips

Garage floor concrete paint removal and epoxy

Finally got all of the product removed from the floor. I ended up buying a different wire wheel for my drill that spins at a lower speed that worked pretty well. Just gotta pressure wash the floor and hoping for a cool spot in our weather.

Poly flake floor is in. Best methods for caulking gaps?

Floor looks great! Tape is you’re best bet there. Slowly fill with the Sika that way you don’t overflow it too much. The stuff has good self leveling properties so as long as you don’t add too much it’ll be an easy clean up on the edging.

Removing paint from floor before epoxy application

See my post. I had the same situation. New house 3 car garage with painted floors. Do yourself a favor and rent an EDCO dual head grinder and do it yourself from the get go.

Yea thats what I figured. I’ll be filling the joints with foam and sika anyways. I just want to make sure the concrete is prepped to the best of my ability. Gonna try some of these techniques when I get home
