Rolling bridge jack for advantage hd9000 lift

Advantage service is terrible... I researched for years before buying the DX-9000XLT. It's a great lift, but getting anyone from their service department to address anything is pathetic. I had a number of scratches and rubbed off (scuffed to metal) areas and they never responded to my email...

Eversource (electric company) ran the 4/0 wiring from the handhole to the meter panel, woohooo! Finally have Powaaah!

Snowing outside, might as well setup the 4-post lift! Need to keep working on my interior electrical - lights are desperately needed asap. The assembly went well, but have a leaky hydraulic hose end. We'll see how easy it is to work with Advantage Lifts - first warranty claim, even though I...

Vinyl siding progress pics (hired a crew to do this)... Due to working around the weather, they spent about 4.5 days on the install, I tracked about 25 actual working hours from start to finish. It was a big project, basically like siding a 2-story house. Of course, a crew of 5 makes it looks...

The rear lean-to shed was one of the best decisions to house equipment - keeps the main garage space clutter free (from property maintenance equipment). Yes, lined the interior of the 4-foot foundation/frost walls with 2" XPS (R-10) and also under the floor. At one point I was strongly...

Window installation and electrical trenching (160' run). Tons of rocks! Nearly filled my 6x10 dump trailer. Happy that my town dump has rock disposal!

That's how I'm thinking about it as well, hence why it's called "Garage Journal." :) More or less documentation of the journey and also hoping that there the information is helpful to others with the builds. Know I looked at many threads in GJ as I was considering how I'd like to go about my...

    Mohawk Lift Switch

Thank you. Do you recall if your Mohawk came with the 1-2' SOOW cord with the male plug already wired to the motor or was it just part of the shipment?

Sure thing. I debated on whether or not to update the thread as it didn't get much interaction/views. Perplexing why it seems many garage build threads get tons of interaction and this one, comparatively, didn't. The building is fully vinyl sided with active 200A electrical service at this...

Makes sense. What size EMT did you use, is that 1/2"? How many conductors do you put in the EMT?

    My Mohawk 2 post lift

Might as well bring this one back from the dead :) What size EMT did you use? How has your System 1A-10K been treating ya?

    Mohawk Lift Switch

Thank you again! This is super helpful and the detail that you shared gives me exactly what I was looking for. Is your lift a System 1A-10K as well?

That's a great setup with the additional receptacles on the mast. Double pole 20A breaker? Did you run 12/4 Romex or 12/3 from your breaker panel to the receptacles and then from the receptacles to the L14-20?

Whoops, skipped some fun - installing the 6" concrete filled 11 foot Lally column! I apparently was very trusting and confident in my machine, rigging, and operating capabilities that day with the 86 GT in close proximity! After we were done, my wife said to me, "did you realize that you left...

The attic pics where taken when I was waiting for my windows and entry doors to come in. Yup, my wife filled all of the nail penetrations with the ZipSystem liquid flash - she's the best and dedicated (see the pic of her with head work light at night!)

Once the garage doors were installed, was finally able to bring my 86 GT to her new home after being stored at a facility for nearly 4 years.... I've owned this Fox for over 30 years now. Notably, the whole garage dream for the past 30 years is all due to this car! The way I look at it though...

Picked up my 4-post lift after the roofing work was done. My wife and I unloaded it from the trailer with the engine hoist and some dollies, was easier than I expected. Excuse the dirty trailer, it looks like hell in this picture due to the pollen!

Fast forward to springtime... Once the "attic" gable ends were up, a couple nosey neighbors saw how "big" the structure was. I heard from a town contact, but all was 100% approved and within town code/building regs... carry-on. Footing up the 2x12x26" rafters was quite the experience and workout!
