    Metal Building Suppliers...

After extensive research and talking to endless salesmen I decided to go with a Mueller building, 30x70x14. Expecting delivery late December. Their prices were not far off of the "other guys" and they seem to have the best reputation in the area. Dealing with Mueller has been most...

    Metal Building Suppliers...

That does not sound encouraging... What sort of things were missing? With them being somewhat local to us in Texas perhaps they will be easier to deal with? Thanks!

    Metal Building Suppliers...

Anyone have any feedback about Rigid Metal Buildings out of Houston? http://www.rigidbuilding.com/ They are giving a pretty good quote for our 30x70 and we wanted to know if anyone has dealt with them before... We are in San Antonio and they are quoting free shipping from Houston. .

opinions on prices for new 36x70

This is all I have: 5x5 wood posts sunk into the ground. Not 100% sure of the spacing I think it is 10ft. 2x6 purlins, with 29ga steel sheathing. Insulated. No cupola, custom options or gutters. I believe he said the roof pitch to be 4/12. Concrete to be poured after building is...

opinions on prices for new 36x70

Yea nothing complicated about the site prep and the pole barn slab is quoted as wire mesh, no rebar The 25k slab quote had perimeter beams with rebar, and two center beams. 25k still seems a bit high for that. Ground is flat, no complicated site prep involved.

opinions on prices for new 36x70

Getting quotes on building our new garage and wanted to run this one by the group... This is in San Antonio. Company is quoting a 36x70x12 with pole construction at $46k Includes 4" slab and 3 10x10 rollup doors Seems a bit high for a pole barn to me... ?? Our preference is for...

    A Sad Day at Lowes....

Are your "Vise Grips" made on the same planet as mine? I have several pair of genuine "Vise Grips" and they have been the biggest pieces of **** I have ever owned. They have been banging around in my tool chests for 15-20 years now and I keep asking myself why I haven't pitched them in the...

Concrete quote seems a bit high

I am just outside of San Antonio... your project sounds pretty close to mine as far as size. Also sounds like they put a bit more effort into it!! I did give them specs to work from, and the fact that they didn't follow that and are trying to do it the way they want to is throwing major...

Concrete quote seems a bit high

It seems to be common here in Texas to do concrete pads with perimeter beams instead of footings. Frost isn't really a problem...

Concrete quote seems a bit high

Just heard from them that price does not include the stem wall, so that is not making me feel any better about them! Concerning the size of the pour, yes that has me uncomfortable as well. I told them at the start that I would prefer they did the beams/footers first, then do the slab in...
