There’s a 1/4 drive Stahlwille socket on at the minute for £69.

Snap On UK Quality Control Issues

Nepros defo do have really nice products! I might take a look at some ratchets. Do you know if you get hit with import duty?

Snap On UK Quality Control Issues

I like my Hazet 1/4 ratchet, but there have been times I had to switch to the SO due to back drag, for example changing the EGR valve on my van, and I could only fit one hand down and the bolt was too tight to turn by hand due to the angle I was at but too loose for the ratchet and the backseat...

Snap On UK Quality Control Issues

I have Ratchets from Stahlwille, Hazet, Facom, Bahco, Sealey and Snap On. Personally, I do like the feel of Snap On ratchets, that's why I am willing to spend the money on them, though my ratchets from these other companies have all been flawless, apart from Stahlwille, I received a 1/2 ratchet...

Snap On UK Quality Control Issues

Yes, I am buying from the website. As for sending them back. I want Snap On to send me a return label. I don't want to be responsible for postage incase something gets lost. It seems the 3/8 ratchet is a returned item. Scuffed, not the high polish it should have, a mark from what looks like...

Snap On UK Quality Control Issues

Has anyone else noticed issues with Snap On UK quality control? I ordered 2 3/8 ratchets and 2 1/2 ratchets. Out of the 4 ratchets, 2 have damage. The 3/8 ratchet seems to have been dropped, and is all scuffed (I know this makes no real difference in usage, but paying SO prices, I expect to get...

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

You can pick up sets on eBay UK, ex MOD, so the case has a number stamped into it, but apart from that, brand new. I got 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 sets for around £230. A set like that would be good, contains the spanner’s too. Bahco do something similar.

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

I don't need more ratchets! haha. I am looking at what I have currently, and deciding what to sell off. I have socket sets that I upgraded, and now have basically 3 sets of each drive size! And ratchets, so many ratchets! Problem is, sometimes it works out cheaper to buy a socket set, than...

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

Ok, so I went for the SL80a and SF80a. Awaiting delivery. I can’t justify a ratchet any longer, it just won’t get used enough, and I have my breaker bar if I really need more power! Anyone interested in a mint condition SHXD80b (hard handle, grey) and FX80a (more use marks on this one) 😂 - UK...

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

The SX80b is quite bulky I think also. I have never needed a ratchet 24 inches long. I think for what I do in 1/2 drive, 15-18 is the sweet spot. Suspension work, and work on my digger and small tractor. A 24 inch just wouldn’t see much use, like I guess, once a year. I can just use my breaker...

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

I am just reading this now. I think I agree with what is being said. I find for mostly everything, I use 3/8, though the dual 80 bug has bit me again and I have brought in a flf80a, fl80a, t72 and tl72 this week. All eBay scores. I find I use 1/4 whenever I can though, just something I like...

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

Thanks for the opinions all. I think I might just hold off and see how I go with the locking flex. I suppose it does act as a fixed ratchet and a flex head when unlocked. Most of the time using it, I actually lock it in position so I don’t slip off the fastner.

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

That’s what I was thinking. I was debating selling the SX80b, and getting the SL80a and SF80a. Sometimes a fixed ratchet is better for the job, and to be honest, it’s what I reach for most of the time, unless I need a flex.

Worth picking up the SL80a? I have the SX80b already.

I was just wondering, would it be worth picking up the SL80a when I already have the SX80b? Anyone any experience using both? Or is a better combo the SL80a and SF80a? Usage is just for working on cars and small pickups. Thanks all

UK Hex, Torx and Spline Sockets - Koken or Hazet?

I have the tin coated 1 piece Hazets in 1/4 drive. I think they are great! I was looking at the koken hex 3/8 in 38mm length, and 1/2 in 50mm length. Same for torx, through 1/2 is 60mm i think. I am debating the 62mm 3/8 hex and torx to be honest, though I think they might be a bit too long...

UK Hex, Torx and Spline Sockets - Koken or Hazet?

So, to start, this is just for home use. I have been going through my tool box, and the toptul hex and torx sockets I have are looking a bit worse for wear. Rounded corners on the hex sockets, and the torx is looking a bit bucked too. I don't really want to spend a fortune, as these are only...

    Gedore or Stahlwille Spanner’s? No.7 and 1b or 13 and 14 series

I did look at the Gedore, I hear from local guys that they are fantastic, but the Stahlwille seemed more popular so I went with it.

    Gedore or Stahlwille Spanner’s? No.7 and 1b or 13 and 14 series

So the Stahlwille 13 and 14 arrived last week. Here are some pictures of the 24mm with Facom 440 and Hazet 600 spanners. I think I prefer the feel of the Hazet in hand, it feels like I have a better grip on it, and fills my hand a bit better, though time will tell.

Looking for a 17 mm ratcheting box end with a retaining ring.

Facom reversible ratchet spanner has a retaining ring. I got a set a few weeks ago. They are great!
