I managed to get some more welding done on the work bench, I welded some flat bar to mount it to the wall and welded a back splash on it and set the tops in place for mock up. The tops still need to be shortened down a bit too. I widened the center section where the chop saw sits to 20".This...

The gas guys came and finally fired the 150000btu furnace, nice and toasty inside even with no insulation. It was -8C out today and within 25minutes it was +20degrees inside. Works dam good! They ran 1" black pipe instead of track pipe due to the total distance which was 120 feet to the...

What size of juice shot? I had my motor set up for nitrous also. Very sceptic and kinda worried at first. Then I met a seasoned veteran at the track that has run nitrous for years. He runs 400shot on his 429cu and runs low 9's.... YIKES! He explained to me all about his experiences with...

Do you have anything special done to your C4 like a better clutch pack & bands or any internal changes? Mine has a manual valve body from Redneck racing with transbrake. As of right now my trannys injured and needs clutch packs changed out. 3rd gear slips like a ******. Could be from...

I checked out your build, pretty nice. I like the I-beam idea for lifting. Your upper office/loft is exactly what I wanted to do but the town would not allow that roof pitch. Bylaws bylaws...

I like the bottom part of your steel rack, good for smaller chunks. How is it with the I-beam going side to side? Have you used it much? I was thinking of running a piece the other way down the shop so I can sling and trolley the items out and away from my truck or trailer without moving.

I do. ha ha... there is nothing like chop, cut, rebuild..... recycle and re use. By the way.....I absolutely love your shop. I've checked out your thread quite a few times. The old barn and its aged wood is awesome, the patina and rust in the metal....Love it. Sure looks like your in a remote...

You don't need a heater much in Victoria do you? my heating friend says that heater is overkill for my 1200sq/ft shop and is rated for 2500sq/ft. I'm good with that, bigger is better! My front shop has a 45000btu and according to his chart it should have a 32000. But it runs and runs and it...

I got some more work done in the shop again tonight. Air compressor got moved with the bobcat from my other garage. 220 plug wired in and powered up. Welder hauled over and ready to fab. I also moved the drill press over where I want it. Spent a lot of time just organizing, I'm pretty proud of...

With the two separate benches it might work out just like I planned. I have my 20a plug in the wall right where my saw will sit. If I fab up a lower shelf where my saw will sit and bridge the two benches together it should work great. I think I will even add 4 or 5 drawers right under the saw...

After a coffee or two I came up with this idea............ First I cut it in half which I then ended up with two tables. Then I cut the top half in two again and narrowed it a bit ending up with two bench looking pieces. The bottom half that is on wheels will be a good start for my future...

I also had another idea this morning when I was out in the shop cleaning. I had this large rack I made back in spring to hold my concrete stamp mats, it worked great all summer, you could access any set as you wanted them without digging threw a whole dirty heavy pile. The downside is the rack...

So I was out in my yard looking for my boat cover today and I found some steel drawers I forgot I even had. I had a work truck last summer that had a welding deck on it, I removed all the drawers and threw them out behind the RV and totally forgot about them. I sold the truck last fall and never...

A couple shots of my 100a panel. I have some plugs, 4 lights and the 4 outdoor plugs left to wire, looks like I'll have plenty of empty space.

I also hung and installed my 150000btu lennox furnace. I hung it by myself, I used a chain hoist to get it from the floor up in the air, then I set it on my drywall lift and cranked it up into place. I wired the shut off switch and digital thermostat to the furnace and powered it all up. I...

I've been out trying to get more and more finished on the shop, yesterday I hung two lights on the front of the shop and wired them to a 24hr timer so I have my yard lit when I want. Mounted it on the wall by one of the overhead doors.

I've been keeping track of how much this shop is costing me. Just passed the $28k mark after purchasing the electrical items. Next up, wiring plugs for my compressor, welder, recepticles and switches, then insulating, poly, drywall. Oh boy! $31-32k total maybe.

I trenched my power and gas to the shop today. Two separate trenches, one is for the natural gas and the other is shared by the power and 1 1/2" conduit for feeding other wires threw at a later date. I also mounted and powered up my 100 amp panel.
