Black and Decker Drill Sharpener 4300

Thanks for this! I picked up one of these sharpeners for $10. The locator is ground down and thanks to you, I was able to order some replacements from ebay. The wheel on mine seems pretty much brand new. It has a slight taper, but not much.

    USB Endoscope

Thats by far the most difficult part of using the long ones - maintaining a sense of direction. the camera rotates easily, causing you to lose your orientation and making it difficult to tell what you’re looking at.

    Shed floor ideas

This is really interesting. I’ve never really heard of anyone doing this before, but it seems like it makes a lot of sense. Where are you that you’ve done this? I’m wondering how something like this would hold up in a PA winter. Looks like I’m going to have to do some research...

Advantech 23/32 T&G, what kind of finish?

I used advantech for sub flooring in a bathroom remodel a few years ago. It's sort of like a super-OSB (at least that's the feeling I got from it). It seemed heavier, more dense, and harder. It cuts really smoothly. It would probably be nicer on walls than OSB, because it is quite a bit...

Steel building. Vertical or horizontal walls?

I dunno... I feel like a 400 square foot building might go up faster than a 3,500 square foot building.

    HF Icon toolbox

The drawers are flimsy on the US General boxes? Ummm... ok. The drawer latches come off with two screws. The pull trim? Yep, the Icon is nicer. The Icon definitely looks better than the "US General" branded box. But at the end of the day, I cannot imagine buying the Icon box. The 56" Icon...

Where to buy trusses - SE PA?

Hi everyone, I'm in the early stages of planning a garage build. I haven't decided on final dimensions yet, but something in the 30' range is most likely what I'm going to do. I'd like to do 36x36 but I may end up doing something like 30' x 32'. Basically depends on how much room I end up...

    Used and/or surplus southeastern pa?

I’m going to be moving into southeastern pa in the coming months (Montgomery county area), and I’m interested in finding some good used tool shops, industrial surplus, machinery resellers, things like that. Architectural and builder salvage would be cool, too. Scrap dealers that sell to the...

    Indoor car cover recommendations?

Ollie’s is a good idea. There is one near here. The covercraft outlet looks like it might be the ticket, though. Thanks for the link!

    Indoor car cover recommendations?

I’m not sure if this is the right forum, but I’m not sure where else to ask this question. Anyway... I need an indoor cover for my old Porsche. I currently have a cheap “budge” single layer cover, but it’s in rough shape and doesn’t provide much protection from dust and dings. The car...

    The best tool reviewers online?

I third AvE. He doesn't review all the new stuff, it's mostly just random reviews of things he gets his hands on, but he actually tears the tools down and analyzes every component. His review of the festool track saw is fantastic and really eye-opening. The main thing he shows is that price...

Use & Abuse of Crescent Wrenches by tubalcain

Tom Walshaw has been dead for 20 years. And he was British. The people who claimed Mr. Pete was trying to take credit for someone else's work just didn't know the origin of the name.

Another Wilton C2 restoration (and re-restoration)

I picked up a pretty nice Wilton C2 about two years ago. Found it locally for $175, so I bought it immediately. Here's how it looked when I brought it home: It was in really good shape, and I seriously considered just cleaning and lubing it and putting it to work, but I really just couldn't...
