Don't know where I got this, but I have no idea what it was made for. Someone did a pretty nice job making it. It has 24 splines and a 3/8" drive. Very likely automotive related, and I'd have to guess transmission related. What do y'all think? Thanks.

This tool was apparently made by ETC. I can find NOTHING about ETC whatsoever. Does anyone know anything about this maker, like what the acronym stands for or basic company history? I suppose that it may be 'TEC' instead of 'ETC', but still nothing. Thanks for anything.

They look like sliding t-bar sockets. Double-ended is neat. Don't recall ever seeing any like that before. You said both ends fit a nut...Are they 6-point? What are the stamps not shown?

Looks identical to a Sears 3-ton floor jack I had years ago. I got it used in the mid-80's, if that helps.

Heard lots of guesses on this one when I showed it around. Most agreed that it looked like some sort of medical device. Didn't have much hope of getting it identified but 14 minutes after I posted it, you named it. To my surprise, I may actually use it! Many thanks for the help.

I've had these for quite awhile. I just can't help myself, I buy tools that I'll never use. Sometimes I buy them because I don't know what they are and they're really cheap. Like these. The first looks like maybe some sort of strip metal rolling? Banding? The second I have absolutely no idea.

Gotta disagree with that first line, which brings up a good point...Relieve system pressure before disconnecting the line!

I suppose that you could use a pair of needle-nose pliers if you can't get a finger into one side of it.

Can't say for sure but it looks like a typical pinch release. If so, there is no tool required. Pinch the plastic ears on the bottom side (looks like one one is barely visible). Give it a try.
