Where can I find these? Countersink, chamfer or Deburr tips.

Looking to see if anyone has a source or way to figure out where I can get more of these threaded chamfer or countersink bits for this tool. Bought at a swap meet and has no brand markings at all. I love the tool but the bits are dull and I need to replace them. Thanks in advance.

Can this be done with a metal lathe?

If the lathe doesn't have enough swing they can do it on a mill with a boring head and clamp the piece fixed and turn the OD of that tube as it points straight up.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Machined my first part on the Home CNC mill. Shot some camera phone video of the process. Had my finger on the STOP button the whole time hoping it wouldn't crash and burn but it did pretty well and machined a usable part without any catastrophic consequences.

Mill trips breakers all of a sudden.

Makes perfect sense. I’ll run it directly off the 20amp GFI wall outlet for now

Mill trips breakers all of a sudden.

My Mill was set up for 500rpm for steel. This weekend I swapped pulleys to speed it up to 3000rpm and now the mill shuts off just as the Rpm increases. It is a 110v unit and I’ve run it off a 15amp power strip all along. I have not tried plugging it directly into a higher 20amp outlet yet. Any...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Good info. I have a few random questions you may be the guy to answer: Is this for an autogenous weld? Is the tubing thick enough to be beveled? If using a belt sander to bevel tubing or get it flat is an Aluminum Oxide belt Ok? If not what would you use? I'm going to poke some tiny holes...

Using a lathe as a rotary weld positioner ?

Thanks for all the good info. It sounds like too much of a pain to use the lathe overall hence why no one probably does it. I'll build or buy a dedicated weld positioner for the tubing work instead.

How would I connect a good ground clamp to the lathe setup if I intend to use it for welding tubing? Thank you

Put the dynomax exhaust on the 85GT. Used the Quick Jacks for the install. Still had to be on my back quite a lot but the extra height was a huge advantage. Car sounds nice, next I’ll install the OEM stainless tailpipes once my employee is done polishing them. 😂.

Got my most complex design done on the CNC machine. Base done on the mill, caps done on the lathe. Internal and external threads, multiple fillets and bowl features. I’m very happy with how it turned out. I did the CAD design and programmed the CNC toolpaths, My buddy machined the parts on his...
