    Hidden Shed Build

The problem with a permit is they want "architectural plans". The cost to get the plans they want will cost more than the shed I want to build. I also do not like or support the government overreach of the county dictating what I do on my property. I had a neighbor that wanted to put in a...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Knucklehead 61's 2 car garage with room to store a few antique motorcycles & parts

I'm putting this one on BaT in a month or so. I'm hoping to get close to what I have in it in parts ($18.5k).

The roof will have flashing to prevent the roof leaking. There two sides of the house will be the walls of the shed.

    Hidden Shed Build

They're still building here and I've thought about asking of the contractors to pour it when they're pouring a slab. I really thought about using gravel but then I'd have to pour footers for the wall and door area. I kind of want to try a dry pour just to try it. :) Yes, golf and country...

    Hidden Shed Build

I have a corner behind the third bay of my garage that I'm going to build a screen wall 7' high. Many neighbors have them to store their trash cans, etc. The entrance area is completely hidden to any neighbors or the street (wooded preserve behind us). The plan: Dry pour a 9'x10'x4"...

I'm getting to the point I like riding the Fat Boy instead of my CVO Limited unless it is an extremely long ride. Some bike ****

I'm too jealous to reply LOL. Not a fan of where it is (Southeast Conservative) but definitely love everything about it. Did you give an overview of what all of the rooms are going to be? I'm getting kind of lost moving through the pictures.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Knucklehead 61's 2 car garage with room to store a few antique motorcycles & parts

Just finished scanning this thread and what a great build. I've been a Harley guy for 30+ years and love seeing the old bikes. I retired a couple of years ago and finished my first retirement project bike - 1990 Grey Ghost. I can't imagine how difficult it is to source parts for the early...

    Tested Husky Warranty Today . . .

Having knowledge of Home Depot, if you get any pushback, politely ask to speak to the store manager. You should also contact corporate about your experience so the next guy might not have the same issue. Sounds like they need some training. I was in Lowes and asked the guy about exchanging...

    Any motorcycle painters? Seeking advice

Thank you, this is what I'm looking for. I like this system with the two fans. The only issue is that my garage ceiling is 10'8". I'll see what other sizes that they have. I guess I'll have to do the frame and parts then the tins on different days. Do you have any more pictures showing the...

    Any motorcycle painters? Seeking advice

I'm on a Grey Ghost site and nobody can seem to match the color with powder, so frames get painted. Seems all of those guys have a shop do the paint work. I'm mainly looking for paint booth ideas here if anyone has a proven method. Thanks.

    Any motorcycle painters? Seeking advice

The bike has 17k miles. The title shows 8mi when purchased in 1990. Good timing for me since they just released the new HD Icon bike which is a nod to the original Grey Ghost. Of course, being Harley, they didn't do it right and it's all chrome.

    Any motorcycle painters? Seeking advice

My plan in retirement has always been to restore cars and bikes. I've done a few over the years but have never done paint work other than single stage. My buddy lives about two hours away and has painted twenty or so of his projects. He is going to help me when I get everything ready for...

What wall mount opener are you using on your high lift door?

I bought a Liftmaster 98022 wall mount opener when I installed my high lift door kit a few months ago. The door worked great until a couple of weeks ago. Once in a while when shutting the door, it would stop about 8" from closing and reverse. If I hit the button again, it would close. The...

    Hybrid-X Garage Floor Tiles

I have my CVO Ultra (850lbs) on a motorcycle lift and it hasn't damaged the tiles. So lets say 900lbs divided by 4 (wheels) would average to 225lbs per wheel location. I found him on Facebook and paid $2/sqft with free shipping.

    BigMike's Garage Thread

They are probably like all polypropylene tiles that expand in the sun. Starting at 9 am, the sun encroaches in the garage about 6'. When the cars are in there, the front edge likes to buckle. One morning, I remove everything from the first 6' and the tiles expanded but laid flat. When installing...
