So I did a 40x50 with 15ft lean-to. 35 outlets, some on the lean-to. 12 LED 24,500 lumen high bays. My barn has a 16 ft ceiling. Lighting/elec plan attached.

    Finished Air piping project

Thanks. The reels are in the center of the building and each side slopes to the middle where the reel is (the low point in the system). The drain comes off the bottom of the header whereas the feeder for the reel comes off the top of the header. Water should drain into the drain leg which...

    Finished Air piping project

Thanks. 3/4 T&G plywood. I used split-ring pipe hangers, a base and a piece of threaded rod for hangers. Bought online, about $3 each. Ouch.

    Finished Air piping project

Just finished piping my shop for air. 3/4" header, 1/2" drops. 2 reels inside and one outside on the lean-to. 4 double drops inside. 3/8" I/M connectors. Never got really neat with the soldering but I had ZERO leaks (except for 2 threaded brass connections which I fixed). Lessons learned...

    Soldering copper air piping question

I was wondering if you welded those set screws with mig or tig? Were the set screws zinc plated or plain steel? Also, how far apart were the pipe brackets? Reason I ask is I can buy copper plated brass or galv mounting plates that are pre-threaded for about $2. A piece of threaded rod, the...

    Soldering copper air piping question

Thanks to all who have posted replies. Ill probably do 5 drops. I was going to put a ball valve at the bottom of each drop, too. If I plan to do that, should I tee off the bottom? DUH on the going behind the header. Those street 45s are about $2 each so easier and cheaper. Genius!

    Soldering copper air piping question

I am about to begin installing copper air piping in my 40x60 shop. 3/4" pipe and 1/2" drops. I have plywood walls and will be attaching the piping near the top of the 8ft wall. I attached some pictures of a mock-up of an air drop and was was wondering if I need to solder all of these pieces...

My first try with copper pipe

I used 3/4" self drilling screws. However, the center of the I-beam was too thick for the screws to drill through so I marked each hole and pre-drilled with a drill bit. I used rubber hose to insulate the copper from the steel and used conduit straps to secure to the beam.

Best way to tee into a 1" PVC water line

I saw a youtube of this method too. Looks doable and is all glued. Do all the 90s cause any problems with water flow? Just a thought. Thanks to all!

Best way to tee into a 1" PVC water line

This is what I was referring to. Seems like the most permanent assuming you can get the "nonstop" coupler to get a good weld. I talked to a friend that was doing a similar repair and he talked to a plumber who said he would use the repair coupler to fix it.

Best way to tee into a 1" PVC water line

All, I was wondering the best way to tee into a PVC water line. Going about 250 ft to my barn. I want to tee into my sprinkler line just after my backflow preventer. I have seen the repair couplers with rubber gaskets as well as I have seen it done (Youtube) with a "slip coupler" that has no...

My first try with copper pipe

Appreciate any feedback on my first copper pipe job. I am putting a hose reel on my lean-to. Connecting the reel to the pipe with 3/8 barbed fittings. I wanted to but a shut off on the reel because its a leaker. 3/8 hose with 3/8 ends and 3/8 I/M fittings. Last pic is the drain.
