    Maker Bench

I'm on a mailing list for SketchUp, and this article was in the newsletter. Folks here may have in interest in this; I know there are some who are familiar with the software. Here is the link for the original idea: http://www.sketchthis.net/makerbench

    Question about pressure washer nozzles

So in washing the deck, I somehow managed to split the white collar on the 40 degree tip. The tip itself is fine, but the collar just slips when I try to turn the tip to change the spray direction from say, vertical to horizontal. Replacing it with a new one is easy enough, but of course now I...

    Updated Chinese Cut50F Group Buy

Well, poop. I thought I was in, but I'm not. I was looking at the wrong list. Probably for the best I suppose. At this point I'll drop out. Thanks a ton for all the work you did; sorry that PayPal shat the bed for us.

Chinese Cut50 Plasma Cutter group buy interest

I have absolutely no idea how to operate one of these and I have no need for one. That being said, please add me to the list. If only so I can say to my co-workers, "What? You don't own a plasma cutter?" as though it calls their manhood into question.

    Another Radio Arm Saw

Regional dialects don't bother me so much, but the way any word starting with "e" is pronounced anymore is borderline moronic. In nearly every case, people will pronounce it "ee", instead of the short sound. Epoxy is not eepoxy, economic is not eeconomic, ebola is not eebola. And this is...

Space saving ideas INSIDE your garage. Lets see them!

Thanks for that. I would never have thought that oils would have that affect, considering that the glue basically melts the plastics together, or so I thought. On another note, is your air compressor on the other side of the wall? And do you have a thread on your garage so I'll quit hijacking...

Space saving ideas INSIDE your garage. Lets see them!

What's that oil catch device you've created? Do you drain it to recycle?

    What are you **** about?

It's no good having them all the same direction if they haven't all been screwed in the same number of turns. Otherwise they all have different torques.

What project have you inflicted on yourself this labor day weekend?

Mine has been inflicted on me. Last Thursday, turn on the dryer, hear a whop-whop-whop-BANGBANGBANG sound. Turn it off, go to work. My dad comes by, rotates the drum both ways, turns on the dryer, runs like a champ. We figure the belt must have slipped, but went back on? Okay by me. Today...

    Building/Equipping/Organizing a Hypothetical 2 Car Garage

Google Sketchup Make is probably the program you're thinking of. I have no experience with it myself but many on this forum have used it. I don't know that any two car garage will suit your needs, frankly. As sure as sin, if there is room for two cars, there will be two cars in there, most...

    MaxJax Cylinder Bleeding

Well, after reading thru a bunch of older posts (again), I tried swapping the hoses at the flow divider. Now the opposite side goes higher, which may mean the divider is bad. I'll contact Dannmar to see what they think. Thanks for your input.

    MaxJax Cylinder Bleeding

I am having the devil's own time getting my MaxJax to raise evenly. At full height, one side is 2 1/2" higher than the other. I'm guessing this is due to air trapped in the column on the higher side, causing it to reach full stroke first? Also, the one that raises higher has a different size...

Anyone had experiance with EZ-Set garage torsion springs?

When I installed garage doors in my garage, I ordered the EZ Set torsion springs from Lowes. You might try that.

    Wheel Dollies

These are the same ones I have, and unless the quality has plummeted, this is a great deal. I bought some years back, and I don't have any issues with them.
