    Quincy Compressors - NOT AMERICAN

this is laughable. the lines that were already imports (not chinese by the way) are still, and the only thing that was replaced with atlas was the small single stage contractor units. you can relax if you still want an original quincy QT they still make them here. just make sure you are...

    Ridgid cordless hammer drill problems

My company is a warranty station for Rigid, and 9 times out of 10 the batteries end up being a charger problem / bad contacts on the charger from slamming the battery onto the charger. they arent very tough tools, and the only reason they sell is because of the lifetime warranty.

    input on multitool

i went through this tough choice last year, and i went with the dremel over the fein, based on price, and availability of accessories. and im glad i made the dremel choice, it gets used all of the time, the wood bits dont last very long but the price of the blades makes that okay, the drywall...

Air Compressor pressure drop...whats going on.

this might be a dumb question, but how old is that filter regulator unit? you might just need to replace the filter element in that unit. or just to see if it is the element take the bowl off remove the element, put it back together and see if it maintains pressure.

Online Tool Vendors: Which are the ones to avoid?

I don't intend to order from chadstoolbox again but it doesn't bother me in the least if other people do. If they weren't pleasing somebody they couldn't stay in business. Good point. We had a very BIG Spray gun manufacturer in here yesterday to discuss their current stock situation or lack...

Online Tool Vendors: Which are the ones to avoid?

i am pretty much in this type of sales position at work. i agree with everyones complaint, but what you dont see is that manufacturers are also cutting back their own inventory. IR is out of stock on 1/2" impacts for 2 months, just as a quick reference. i know our companies problem is that...

    called So for warranty

i just ran into this with them. any individual tool that costs less than $X amount for SO to manufacture they consider it "not worth taking back" shipping is usually more than what its worth.

    Fein or Dremel MultiTool?

i ended up with the dremel, got it at cost through work, so it was a no brainer. it performed excelent! not very much vibration at all. the drywall blade and 1 inch wood blade didnt last very long but they were only about $12.00 each to replace, and i only went through 2 durring the remodel...

    Eaton vs Quincy

Quincy's lead time is back down to only 2 weeks. which is pretty good for them considering the only compressors that are actually sitting on the floor ready to ship are the small screws. everything else is built to order. and since the Atlas Copco Buy out of quincy, everyone is buying up...
