Lift modifications Thread- Lets see them!

I got my 12K lift installed and did a few mods based on all the suggestions found here. I work on a lot of German cars, and they all have special lifting adapters. And yes none of them are the same. I did the remote idea with a twist, I made the remote cable out of extension cords. Currently...

    MP&C Shop Projects

Robert, I like the idea, as a guy that has RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) my left hand is weaker than the right. I do a lot of work in 16ga. So I am thinking about making one for my 16ga handwork. This idea rocks.

Help with a DIY motorized trailer dolly

I just use my ZTR, with a small hitch on it. I can back a trailer into the tightest spots I have found around my property. Its a 77"x12' single axle utility. It also doubles as a great grass cutter. Small lawn mower works well for this a zero turn unit, works great.

    Don Campbell's Workshop

Wow just spent to days of lunch reading through this thread, and now I am ready to hit a few tractor restos myself. I have a simplicity Sun-Runner, a Steiner 420D, and a FieldBoss 21 I need to redo. Your work is truly inspiring, and these little guys take up less room than a full blow car...

What I've been testing (QUICKJACK by Ranger Products)!

Nice very nice. I have an Ez car lift, I love that product, yet I can see an need for this one, as I have considered buying another EZ. When you own 914s you seem to put them in the air a lot. In reality it is the fact that you always seem to need a lift when you have something on the lift...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Jack, Paul happens to run the proposed worlds lightest 914 at a little over 1300 pounds so he tends to know a thing or two about building light structures. Here is his rear wing. The up rights are sheet Al. with a single smaller AL. strap used as a diagonal brace. While this is an auto-x car...

    trailer lights

I would add a heavy bar screen over the rear lights and make them LED. I have a friend that has a small tilt bed trailer and every time I borrow it I have to repair a light or wiring. I may just have still your design, and make it out of plate and see if he bust that one up.

This could be the ultimate welding table.

Love the table, it is way more than I need, yet I like how you solved your issues and built a table that will perform the way you want it to. Thats the way it should be build the tools you need for the job you do. One question though, is your floor dead nuts level? I don't see any way of...

I need 2.8" metal circle - Hole saw?

If it was me not knowing the solution but sounds like your caping a 3" tube, I would get some one to lathe them up out of 1/4 or 3/8" and make it a step at your ID and the rest of the 1/4 at your OD of the tube. Have them radius the outer edge and you have an press plate that will sit flush...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

The toyota van was a joke people did you miss the  at the end? Its a total POS a play on the mid engine location bringing balance to the package. Squankum I agree but on a much larger sense, automotive design in general is in a big crisis right now. Look at Nissan, the Juke really why...
