how will that waxed side stick to the vct glue ? i dont think i would risk that.

my wifes car's water condensation from her air conditioner leaves a hard water/ calcium stain every night in on my new vct/clear epoxy (1109 bondtite) floor. i tried white vinegar and it works to get it up, but i dont want to be doing that all the time. anyone else experience this and come up...

i used two 8' x 2" x 1/8" aluminum strips. they are the same thickness as the vct. i got them in the building material section from HD. i put them down with liquid nails(industrial strength) and about 5 counter sunk concrete screws dipped in liquid nails. i then sanded the top of the strips...

thanks alot! i put down 10mils thickness. thats the thicker (as opposed to 5 mils option from alpha garage. but i couldn't imagine using any less material. 15 or 20 mils thickness would have covered any seam depressions.

just finished laying down the bondtite 1109. these pics it is still wet. i will post more after it cures. i put down the extra thick(10mils), but i could not imagine trying to use any less. I could see putting down 15 or 20 mils.

i think the best way is to lay the vct wait 4 days or so, then sand with a 5" or 6" orbital. do all the whites, then do all the blacks, then go back and lightly sand any scuff marks on the whites. then clean with distilled water and brand new towels. then lay down the bondtite 1109. i am...

sorry if my post was confusing. thats what happens when you have been sanding for 10hrs straight!

white vct tiles will show yellow from tiles, but not if you clear epoxy the floor. hot tire pick up is when paint or poorly applied epoxy peels off the floor due to hot tires.

you dont have to sand. if you dont sand and clear epoxy, then you just wax it every 4 months or so and strip and buff
