That impact is next on my list too. That price is fantastic. This impact has been on the market in Mac tools red and black plastic for a while now. They are awesome. From mac I believe they are $599.

Every other chevy truck that leaves our shop is already wearing copper nickel lines. So are all of my vehicles. Awesome stuff.

According to my dealer, they will rebuild very old model ratchets, but not replace them...

The smell is bad..lol. My latest favorite new tool is my long handle 3/8 x 1/4 Pittsburg pro ratchet thing. I've been using it daily and I love it. Four guys in my shop bought one after me and only one failure so far while rearing on the 1/4 side.

I agree. I sold mac and own at least some of most major brands. Sk is solid. I will say, snapon has some nice ratchets, but I have a set and still end up with my Matco flex head 3/8 and 1/4 in hand every day. I think sk has top shelf sockets and I had at least 3 guys on my old route that would...

138 bucks.... And 100 was on a used set of Matco sockets. Way overpriced. I do have a nice dealer now, but I have had horrible experiences as a former tool man....

One thing to try is some thicker lube. I find that straight up dawn works better than tire lube in a lot of these situations. As mentioned above pressure of 100 psi or more is common for the tight ones.

I'd agree that it's not puting that much out, but the tool does have 600ft lbs on the rear tag so I'd say that's what they are rated at by the king;)

I got my 4630 yesterday. At first glance it is a bit awkward for me to hold, as I have smaller hands. Out of the box it was kind of doggie, but after one day of use it has picked up nicely. Mine does feel out of balance when running free. I'd like to hear other people's experience to see if this...

Not new for sure. They are the same quality as the chrome tools though. If I had a gold tooth to go with them....

I used to sell those kits.. If I remembeR correctly, they were only a little more than the other normal versions on my truck. I only sold them to one guy. He filled his $30,000 commemorative snap on tool box set with them.

Sadly, I knocked the rust off five 40' bridge beams 15yrs ago... That scaler sucked then and they haven't changed them... I did make state intern wages though... :)

I know the new ones aren't what the oldies are, but I have a 24" craftsman that's an oldie. I use it regularly on exhaust manifolds and vw axle bolts. It does lose a lot of snot with an impact, but it's a life saver with some jobs. Cheap too on ebay or new.

That set is fantastic. They grab well and break rarely. My best buddy has the same set and they get abused. He hasn't broken one yet even after many runs with a proto 1/2 wrench and a 3/8 adapter. I'd say he's used them for a year or so and they look fine.

I have that set. I also have a 3/8 impact socket set and a few axle nut sockets from tekton. I love the wrench set for doing rack and pinions and I abuse the sockets daily. No brokens yet and they are all holding up just as well as some of my more expensive sockets and wrenches.

Lol... Many times an accident happens with suicide stick style compressors, the spring kicks out the side. This is crazy that I'm getting this much flack for cautioning someone about a known dangerous tool. I guess that's why I lurked here for so long and didn't bother posting.
