    Overcharged my mini split

I am so far very happy with their support and responsiveness. Given all the items they sent me, I guess I misunderstood the recharge process. The 9K unit uses exactly 1 can of r410a (28oz). However, I received 2 cans and a set of guages, so I assume I should fill according to the PT charts...

    Overcharged my mini split

The dealer sent me guage set and a PT chart for the mini split along with replacement freon. I guess that was a poor assumption on my part.

    Overcharged my mini split

Well, I called the original dealer that I purchased it from. The unit was new. So, they sent me 2 tanks and a manifold guage set as well as a pressure chart for the minisplits. I guess this let me to believe that I needed to monitor the pressures while adding freon...

    Overcharged my mini split

I had a line break and had to vac and install new freon. I think I put too much freon in the system as the pressures are in the RED on my guage. Initially, it was low so I kept adding (maybe it need to run a while before the pressures were accurate). How do I get rid of the excess freon? I...

Hanging a mini split on brick wall

Well, my unit came in. It’s only a 9k unit and the condenser is only 50lbs. So, may not be too big an issue hanging on brick. They told me I should be okay hanging on brick using wedge anchors that come with the bracket. Sent from my iPad using Garage Journal

Hanging a mini split on brick wall

The part of my house appears to have a brick veneer over a poured concrete basement foundation wall. How do you feel about hanging a small mini split condenser on it. I like the ideal of wall hanging since that side of the house is on a slope and I am concerned about erosion.

    VA Garage Gang

Hello from Aldie, VA. Just saw this thread. Thought I give a kick start. I live in Aldie and did a garage addition to my home back in 2016. Three floors but only the garage level is complete. Using the upper levels for storage and a workshop. Here are a few pics of my build.

New AWF Polyurea Floor Coating by Garageflooring LLC

Reviving a old thread. So, after almost 2 years, I managed to leave some light scratches on the floor. Had small rocks on floor and dragged a box over them. What is the best way to get rid of them?

    Pioneer mini split install

I just did a pioneer install this spring on my garage. 20x29x12 high. Did the install myself and vac the lines and torqued the flare fittings to spec and the system runs great. Barely notice it running at all. I have r19 wall, r38 ceiling and r18 door. My unit is around 10' high.

Selling a home with a nice garage

That is why I built mine as an attached garage with the potential for 2 finished floors above it. Adding livable square feet is the key to increasing the value of your house.

    Low Spot on Driveway

I have a low spot on a fairly new asphalt driveway that collects water. It needs to be an 1/2" higher. Is there any easy way to level without repaving.
