but looking at the two diagrams I don't understand the purpose of the four wire. what does having the ground all way back to the meter loop do differently?

It has three wires. So the ground goes where? If it had 4 wires from the disconnect, where would the ground be connected at the disconnect? There are only 3 wires from the transformer to the meter. I guess I don't understand why you would need 4 wires if it just connects to a ground rod at the...

The ground would go to the neutral bar again? Or am I supposed to add a ground bar in the breaker panel?

Below my meter is a disconnect switch. In that panel a ground is connected to the neutral. Then 3 conductors run into my shop. Do I use a ground rod here also?

if you're changing to an aftermarket cooler I would go with a -6 an fittings. The transmission will need 1/8" npt to -6 jic adapters. These are so much easier to work with than the factory style lines.IMO

I could tell no difference between my flex fuel in my non flex fuel 1500, except for the indicator on the dash saying it was running on 4 cylinders. Usually got around 17mpg on gas, never ran ethanol.

You can run a straight edge off both sides,into the corner. Then run a joist from your hip rafter to corner. You may have to add more inbetween depending on the gap that is left.

Check for power at the motor. If you have power there It has to be the motor, if not it's the switch. Or possibly starting capacitor, if it has one.

Build a platform in the corner and use that to turn the stairs. The bottom can be north/south and the top east/west. You can use the underneath for storage. I personally wouldn't cut the truss.

Thanks. I have very easy access to some sand and it is a lot easier to move by hand than gravel. If there was an issue I would not do it.

Is sand ok to use for final leveling prior to pouring concrete? I'm talking about 1 1/2" or less.
