Thanks Mile. Lady monitoring said they were sold but I inquired again at checkout and they were in fact available. There was an old NB stack, including the mid box but that had been sold.

Wow some beautiful finds for the week guys.
I hit two estate sales.
Bought the old Craftsman chest for less than sticker. $22
Full of junk and needs some cleaning. Has the removable tray and some of the old box it came in as drawer liners! This thing is heavier than heavy.

Craftsman Snips, other odds n ends. Prices were cheap. About $16 bucks
From the other sale: some 10 inch adjustable a Barcalo and an unbranded that looks Barcalo, Utica, Crescent. Proto pipe wrench. Big Crescent screwdriver, Craftsman 3/8 breaker, Billings pliers, rough planes including a Stanley. I think the offset wrench is Bog, need to check and clean the hatchet too. It says Charleston?
And way up in the corner, a little Colonial souvenir knife from Niagara Falls, and a tiny tiny ball peen hammer. I thought I saw some small ball peens before. This is a real hammer and has been used!

CB: great haul. i too have the Cornell organizer and since i also have a nice Huot one for drill bits not sure what i'm going to put in it. the wrench sets you found look great. WELL DONE!!
3bay: that's one of my favorite top boxes and i'm still looking for one to replace the one i sold to a member that wouldn't sell me his matching bottom box.

OK I was out on a Freecycle PU and Photo run (SWMBO is in another Photo class) and dropped by the "estate" sale. They were closing down but I still picked up 7 more of those blue tool cases, and asking about an Ax in the corner the got this Norlund Axe out! - 24" straight handle - $5 all!
(The FC run got me season one of Game of Thrones on Blue Ray)
p.s. I Googled it and apparently Norlund (Swedish made) was in business form about 1968 to the mid 80's or so. this one is their "Camp Axe" model.

I was out and about, working and trying to get some Christmas shopping done when I realized I was about to go right by my favorite indoor flea market. I stopped in, thinking I might find some interesting odd old tool for my BIL (it NEVER crossed my mind I might find an addition to my Penncraft collection. Honest!!)
So, what do you get for the man who has everything? Right! Storage! They had a couple of nice cabinets pretty much like 2-drawer file cabinets, but with a shallow top drawer and two deeper drawers below - still shallower than normal file cabinets. Looked like nice light-duty tool storage to me, and only $25 NIB. One was already sold, so I grabbed the other and nosed around a bit, finding this nice set of Williams Superrench DOE's. I'd never seen this style before, and it really caught my eye. Alloy Artifacts says they were made from '52- '59 which makes them right for the cars he likes. They were priced $5 each, but they guy let me have the whole shebang plus another oddball wrench for $30 - I didn't even have to bargain for it!

Thanks, Mike, Bagged, Jake, & Top. I had never seem that type of vise before and so applied the American Pickers rule.
The vise was still bolted to the workbench and while I was gathering tools and still rummaging about, a guy walks up and asks the monitor "How much for the workbench?" He sends the guy upstairs to get a price from the lady running the sale, but the guy never comes back down. As we're bargaining 20 minutes later, I ask about the vise and whether the workbench had sold. I certainly didn't want to take something off of an already sold item. The monitor just trundled over and started removing the bolts.
The lady running the sale (it was Rose, Jake) probably wanted too much for the workbench. She's usually steep on furniture, but she defers to her male employees on tool prices. Good for me.

New Britain is my favorite ratchet, probably because I'm a little dyslexic and it has ON/OFF marked clearly on the back of it.
A few years back, picked up an Owatonna Tool Company (OTC) rotating tool board display. Thought it was kind of neat as it helps display all 3 boards and tools in a small area.

I can hardly believe the finds being made! Well done guys! I thought I did OK today esp. considering the time of year and its pouring outside now (I got out and back just in time...) before I saw the posts!
Here are my (comparatively speaking) meager finds:
Last stop first an the (mostly) non tool items; A NOS Primer pump, Craftsman Pry bar, cable and hook (I was thinking Come-A-Long refill, but it might be too much cable...) and a decent set of dominoes, (might be a double set?
All the rest is from the first YS (#2 was a deadbeat - Second day in a a row..) (almost an Estate sale; might have been but not advertised as such)
Brass number stencils, 2" and 1-1/2" the smaller set is missing the 1 and 5
Ticket box, an old Giants Mechanical Pencil (I don't think its the mm sizes...), Blue plastic tools sleeve that I will use to store/carry Tea light (sample shown) for camping. (wish I'd though of that when I was there he had more...), an old school cast iron matchbox holder, Giant Safety Pin, and a Brass Belt buckle for "AL" (or maybe American League, like SWMBO complained about..)
6" Coes Monkey wrench, 2 Cincinatti 3" clamps, Old school Channellocl Needle nose, SureForm pliers; battery of water pump? jaws are different..., Proto DOE, Snap Ring plieers, Tap Handle:

Out of all the clamps in the box only that 1 (visible middle) was from Taiwan the rest are Cincinnati or other old USA made clamps, made with lots of iron, they're HEAVY.
I'm guessing that "Super Strength Alloy" clamp is magnesium, it's VERY LIGHT.

Been kind of absent lately but I applaud all here who week after week find the deals and bother to post them up for us to see.
Ventured out to a nearby sale this morning that advertised "tools" but was at first disappointed that it was a "basement only" sale and at first glance, no tools were in sight.
After some wandering, I found a small, tucked away corner that was hiding some old, low quality tool boxes. Started to dig and this is what I brought home for the fair price of $10.70
Hex head ratchet set only says, "Made in the USA", no brand name anywhere. Haven't researched the set yet but would appreciate any info if someone is familiar with this set.
Update: Looks like this is from Duro Metals Product Co., 1954

First pic was another 5 at another seller and the Pre SH Stanley Level was another buck, so $18. I went back while they ere closing and got 7 more of the blue tool storage tubes, for 2, and the Norlund Axe for 3...

The 1920's era brass torch is from Lenk Mfg Company in Newton, MASS.
It's not the more common one you see with an adjusting knob on the back and a little lip around the stem filled with asbestos material for priming the torch and creating some pressure inside from the heat. In fact, I'm not sure how this one works. Under the sheath with the chain on it is a wick. That nut at the end of the bent stem terminating directly over the wick comes off. But there is no primer. If it’s just a burner, what is the bent stem for? I dunno. I may need some help from a vintage torch guy on this one.
The little obstruction DBE wrench is a Plomb 1725 1/2 x 7/16. The flare nut wrench is a WRIGHT (Aeronautical) “92 -USA- 31618” (3/8 x 7/16).
I’d like some help identifying the maker. Note the double-struck stamping. It looks vaguely Plomb-ish to me, and Plomb did supply Wright Aircraft, but it also looks Cornwell-ian to me, especially the marking on the flip side. I’ve seen a model number with the mixed size digits before – big 3 small 1 big 6 small 1 big 8 – and I swear it's a Cornwell thing, but now I can’t find an example in my own collection or elsewhere. Any thoughts?

so you bought a sawzall and got two free chainsaws, major suckage, must be stolen, stihl=350, husky=400-500 saw, ripsaw= 60-100
Went to an estate sale this morning. They had let people in earlier than the scheduled start time, and some of the toolboxes/tools pictured were already gone before I got there, but I spotted this right away on a workbench. Got a price for it as quickly as possible, which was $20, and happily detached it from the bench.
Prentiss Bulldog model 264. 4" jaw width but I think it weighs about 60 pounds. Good condition all around including the jaws, and has a swivel base with the original wrench.
This is my first "proper" vise and a huge upgrade from my tiny 4" Wilton which weighs about 1/10 as much. I might find something even better eventually but this is definitely a keeper for now.
Didn't snag anything else, and my hands were almost frozen by the end, but it was a very fun morning. I saw someone else who had already bought what looked like an Armstrong 3/4" drive set in a metal box, and I'd bet he snagged that for pennies on the dollar.

Man, I was looking at the remnants of the logo too close! Trying to figure out what the "White" said... Its outlining the SK now you mention it (I just needed to get the dang thing at arms length and it's obvious..)
Lug; The alcohol torch is easy. fill the reservoir with alcohol (Don't overfill, saturate the cotton filler, similar to a lighter), light that wick and let it sit a little while..
The thing will heat the alcohol in the tank and vaporize it, Then the vapor comes out of the bent nozzle and ignites and you have a min blow torch...
Use Denatured Alcohol. Most ISO(rubbing alcohol) is not high enough proof.
p.s. Just remember the alcohol burns almost invisible; so be careful...

I don't think it's a torch, Outlaw. I, too, assumed the sheathed opening was a priming wick. But the bent pipe is ALSO a wick! Check it out!
And that's a wet wick - it extends all the way to the bottom of the can.
Is it just a burner with two wicks? This thing is awesome, but it has me stumped.

It's a torch, but it is missing the jet nozzle. The orifice on mine is somewhere between a No 80 and 76 numbered drill I think.
If you can get or make a cap for the bent tube, you could dril the orifice. (mine has a bit of a counter sink as well)

My guess would be a 2 oz jeweler's ball pein, 3Bay, but they are usually pristine shiny steel or brass, not black enamel.
The cap nut has the jet port in it, Outlaw. I didn't look for it before because of the wick throwing me off (it obviously doesn't belong in that nozzle), and I'm used to a vintage torch having a wider nozzle and a petcock to control the escaping flow of vapor. Thanks! Puzzle solved!
