100% cash back in points on selected items

it says its a 2 day sale, so it should overlap F&F, but since theyre listed as hot buys i doubt the price will go down any. however, RMN is doing 3% cash back on purchases right now and as of today their coupons are still up. if i could get this grill shipped to store or me id be all over it, although this one with a $20/150 RMN coupon and $10 freecash might be a good buy with $152 coming back in points. we'll have to see what the price looks like tomorrow.

Does Sears have a new logo ?

attachment.php

Yeah, that's new. Not sure what the design is supposed to represent. Maybe a person inside a house? Related to their new smaller store brand "Home & Life".

I figured out what that new Sears logo reminded me of... AirBnB!

Hehe we were actually talking about that logo yesterday. We were wondering if airbnb will sue Sears because it is so similar.

Does anyone know who the OEM is for the new Kenmore Vacuums? I remember hearing that there were some good Panasonic ones, but I don't know whether things have changed. My cordless stick vacuum is in need of replacement soon.

Panasonic has stopped manufacturing vacuums entirely, not just for Sears. (What a shame.) The new Kenmore vacuum maker is apparently Cleva. Maybe not the greatest, but should still be adequate for most uses, and the savings if you buy during a points-back deal could be huge. For example, here's one for $150, so if you haven't done the $150 back on $150 deal yet that ends tomorrow 5/4, it would be perfect: https://www.sears.com/kenmore-elite-10440-ssv-124-quick-clean-8482-cyclonic/p-A022920233

As seen on SD...

For anyone with a store nearby, text 'SPRING' to 73277 and get a $5 off $5+ coupon for Sears in-store only.

Valid 4/28 - 5/4. Usual restrictions (e.g. no Hot Buys, no gift cards, etc.).

Upcoming Sears Family & Friends event: 5/4 - 5/7 (in-store 5/5)

V01_DAP_FF_DT_ComingSoon-qm-wid-eq-900-amp-qlt-eq-90-amp-op_usm-eq-0.9,0.5,0,0

Couple reminders, the in-store texting coupon expires tomorrow Sat 5/4 (1 per account), and the online F&F sale also starts tomorrow (in-store only Sun 5/5).

Does the F&F actually start tomorrow or is like an online sale flier that is up tomorrow and starts on Sunday? It says online preview Sat. May 4.

I think they're just calling it that because they didn't make the first day be the one in-store-and-online day this time. We'll find out in a couple hours. They don't really do "fliers" for this kind of thing, it's just blanket percents off on everything in the relevant categories.

or its a very clever way of getting out of having to pay out. "what, we'll give you your points as soon as Saturady exists" :lol_hitti

Exactly! You never know, they may do this on purpose :lol_hitti

I hope I find something to buy, have a few bucks to spend..

Have a great weekend folks!

F&F sale is indeed now in effect online. :) A tool that was ~$10 last night is now ~$9.

A few stores will be closing due to landlord disputes.

Sears at Windward Mall in Kaneohe, HI started liquidating last Monday, Apr 15, and will close permanently on Sun Apr 28, 2019. http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2019/04/16/sears-windward-mall-close-this-month/
This is the result of old-Sears being sued for overdue rent on that location, and apparently new-Sears couldn't come to an agreement about it. https://www.bizjournals.com/pacific...d-by-kamehameha-schools-for-back-rent-at.html

Sears at Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, IL, the test store that old-Sears had just finished remodeling before declaring bankruptcy last October, is also closing Apr 28 because new-Sears couldn't come to an agreement with the landlord. https://amp.businessinsider.com/sears-closes-store-of-future-months-after-opening-2019-4

Sears at Santa Rosa Mall in Bayamón, Puerto Rico is on the verge of getting kicked out but no final date yet. https://www.elnuevodia.com/negocios...rturadesearsensantarosamallenbayamon-2489583/ (in Spanish)

Sears at Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, OH starts liquidating next week (early May), and "will close [in] late June or early July". http://www.theintelligencer.net/new...hio-valley-mall-in-st-clairsville-is-closing/

Sears at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale, AZ - "The auto center will close in late May and the store will close its doors in early July, the statement said. Liquidation sales will begin in early May." https://www.abc15.com/news/region-w...arrowhead-towne-center-in-glendale-is-closing

Sears at Dartmouth Mall in Dartmouth, MA - This one was announced back in January but won't be closing until an unknown time in Fall 2019. https://www.abc6.com/story/39866728/sears-to-close-in-dartmouth , https://www.southcoasttoday.com/news/20190128/dartmouth-sears-store-closing

Edit 4/29: Another one...
Sears at Hot Springs Mall in Hot Springs, AR - Article refers to it as a lower-case "outlet", which I think they just meant as a synonym for "store"; it appears to be a regular corporate full-line store (which previously had an auto center), not a SHOS Sears Outlet. "the store will begin liquidating its inventory next week [now this week]. A closing date was unknown at presstime." http://www.hotsr.com/news/2019/apr/27/local-sears-outlet-announces-closing-20/

And now a Kmart liquidation:

Kmart in Walla Walla, WA - Closure news started leaking out May 1. Final day will be July 7. https://www.union-bulletin.com/news...cle_a3316b2c-6d04-11e9-ba4f-af2dc1e927be.html

I've never seen this on sale before.

Craftsman 3 pc. Screwdriver Set, Finger Bit $4.50

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-3-pc-screwdriver-set-finger-bit/p-00941390000P
...

Nice price. I got that set a few months ago, at either full price ($9) or 10% off, never seen it more than 10% off IIRC. They work pretty well, and the bits they come with can be removed and replaced with other standard 1/4" hex bits BTW.

As for why so many things are now on sale for the random-seeming price of $4.50, I'm guessing it was a $5 sale before the 10% hit.

It looks like a flame, as if someone is holding a lighter right by sears, ready to torch the whole joint. Probably eddie.

I thought if we all hold it together, we can predict the next bankruptcy date.

just need to rant for a minute: i hate sears' pricing strategy, if you can even call it that. we're supposed to be on F&F pricing, right? well the first day all of the items in my lists went down in price like they should have. cool. then for the past two days everything has been more expensive

a grill i linked to a few days ago dropped 10% down to $179.99--with freecash and coupon it would have been $149.99+tax and would have needed a penny filler to get the $150 cash back. well it randomly went up to $250, minus 10%, for $224.99. F that

then i had a shirt in my cart yesterday waiting to find a filler to use all my points on, and now its $2.50 more. F that--i put it back and instead bought a kmart item that dropped $5.** overnight, with an extra 10% off.

in the end i got a decent price on a rug but they lost out on selling a grill. it just makes no sense to me why they feel the need to shuffle prices around daily or hourly. /rant

btw, picked up this 6 pc chisel set for $12.99 less than 2 weeks ago, then price matched saturday to ~$11.29, and now its $25.19 WTF

Yeah, they've been driving us nuts with that kind of behavior for years. :( Hard to plan ahead.

Agree their pricing strategy do not make sense :headscrat

My strategy is buy as soon as the price dropped to within my acceptable price range. If it drops further, hopefully it is within the price match period. Yes there are some stuffs that I paid too much and the price dropped after the price match period. But I am not as upset as when the price shoot up and I am kicking myself for not buying it when the price is low, or when I did not buy and now they stop selling anymore.

I have found the first day of the F&F sale whether it be Saturday or Sunday is usually the lowest price, then it creeps up as the sale goes on.

So, I have been using the PS to use up points over the past 3 months and avoid shipping charges. I have used over $250 in points since I started using the PS. $0.00 OOP.

I have also used a $5 off $35 or $5 off $50 on almost every order and bought only things on sale. In addition, I have received at least $10 in price protection refunds after my purchases.

My last monthly $35 points cash back is coming May 15, so the party will end soon, but it has been nice getting lots of free tools.

I don't have that one but I have this one that I got for $4.99 last year and it's been phenomenal.

https://m.harborfreight.com/household/lighting/215-lumen-magnetic-pocket-work-light-63935.html

I also have its 'big brother' https://www.harborfreight.com/390-Lumen-Magnetic-Slim-Bar-Folding-LED-Work-Light-63958.html (look for coupons that bring it down to $19.99 on hfqpdb.com) and it's really nice too. (PS: And this one is rechargeable!)

If you're just looking for something to burn points, the Diehard light has no reviews and I haven't seen it personally, but the specs say it is LED so it should at least be better than some of the archaic non-LED lights Sears is still selling. :)

Thank you @joey1320 and @Hexen. I will check out harborfreight.

This will be OOP purchase. I have a long road trip coming up with the family. I have good flashlight but would like to have a work light that is hand free. This is for just incase I need to work on the car, like if having flat tires on the side of the road. I do like the rechargeable one, it says that it can be charged from USB, so I can charge it in the car.

I have not 1, but 2 of these lights. I've had plumbers, and people buying stuff at night from me, and contractors at my house and every time I bring this light out they want to know where I got it. Its a superb light. flexible, bright and magnetic. Highly recommend it.

Get the magnetic parts dish as your freebie with it, gives it a wider base for freestanding use if you need it standing on the ground next to you. :)

Someone on SD found this, they didn't say where, so I don't know how to determine if my/your store is participating... possible free $10 in points by talking to the mattress people in-store this Sunday.
