1 1/4" emt offset for subpanel question

I have to create an offset from where the conduit comes up through the sillplate about a half inch from the outside wall (2x6 wall) to the entry point into the bottom off the box which is flush mounted for 1/2" ply. I'd guess a 4" total offset over a 4'-6" run of conduit. Can I do this without a bender or will the emt collapse and kink? I only have 1/2" and 3/4" emt benders. Thoughts please.

You can't do it without a bender.
Can you use flex?

You could try to use two rigid offset ******* coupled together.

Well..actually that might not be enough of an offset. It may take 3 or 4 of them. Never mind, the flex is a better solution.

Is flex okay to be buried inside the wall, behind plywood? Does that meet code? (i'm not questioning, just asking because I don't know.)

And this is the same stuff as seal-tite, right?

Flex can be concealed. I was thinking metal flex, not liquidtight.

I too meant flex like this above link.
Sealtite would be fine also but more expensive and not neccesary in this application.

Find a local electrician who will bend an offset for you at his shop before he heads off to the jobsite.

^^^ or they sell pre-made bends at the supply house and you'll need to get some extra couplings

There’s always a muffler shop that could do it. The radius is different, but for a small offset when you’re in a jam, well…

Buy a stick of 1-1/4" at Home Depot and take one of their benders for a test drive before you leave

If you haven't already gone the flex conduit route, you can bend 1 1/4" without a bender. I've done it several times in a pinch. Just need a heavy truck or trailer and use the frame and tire. It won't look perfect, but behind a wall would be a perfect place to use it. However, if the parts house is close, and you've got the money and time, I'd use pre made bends or flex in that order.

Done. Turns out it was only about 2" of offset required, I did it by hand using the hitch on my truck. Came out fine for something that will be hidden inside the wall. Thank you for all the suggestions.

I know you fixed it, but could you have gone to some schedule 40 and heat it up so it was soft enough to bend.

I used Sch 40 under my pad and a pipe heater, to soften them up, to get them to line up.

Inspector wanted to see metal conduit from the sill plate up. I have sch 40 under the ground too.
