I used to use lan on everything, but switched to 2% thoriated for steel
because its a lot cheaper, and works just as good if not better.
Heck, thoriated works good for Aluminum too (with an inverter machine anyway).
I don't like thoriated tungsten, because it is slightly radioactive. It's harmless in its rod state, but when you grind a point on it, the dust gets in the air, and into your lungs. http://www.pro-fusiononline.com/tungsten/radioactivity.htm
Mines a Maxstar 200. I've got some ceriated and pure that came with it. Probably just use up the ceriated for now since I can't really do AL right now. Gonna try to get my hands on a Dynasty but the deal on this one was to good to pass on.
