Ordered the $99 M12 Drill and Hackzall combo with the Dewalt kit, intending to keep the M12. Had it set to ship to me, and pickup the Dewalt at a semi local HD

HD called today and said they couldnt find the Dewalt kit, so would be refunding my money.

Makes that easy for me!

Man, I finally got lucky with this promo! I had been eyeing an M12 Fuel circular saw on clearance for $120. When I rang it up today it was down to $105, so with the Dewalt kit for $369 (which I returned), I got the saw for $71.77!

I'm guessing this particular store stopped carrying this item. My budget wouldn't allow me to spend $150 for a bare tool, but for $71.77 I'd be a fool not to buy it.

Great deal, I don't think I've seen the M12 saw at any of my local stores.

Went ahead and picked up the Makita XT324 kit (one with the drill/driver & brushless grinder at the $249 price) and the DeWalt $369 kit. Combined a Lowe's 10% off coupon with the deal and I was able to pick up the XT324 kit for $170! Returned the DeWalt kit immediately.

I chose the Makita grinder over the DeWalt as it felt much better in the hand, more natural. I run both battery platforms but have much more DeWalt than Makita.

How does it work if you mix in a 10% off coupon. Does it also spread out the discount in the same way as the promo discount?

Which $99 kit was that? was it $99 before or after the discount was applied.

It applies the 10% coupon the same as the discount. Proportionally over both items. I have been using the same 10% off coupon for a while now. Bought 5 off of Ebay for $5 and just keep reprinting them.

So you guys buy say a $400 kit which allows you to get $150 off then buy a $150 tool and pay $400 for the pair of them, then return the $400 tool and get the $150 tool for free?

To me I wouldnt bother doing something like this, because its $150, I dont do much for $150, lol.. BUT I also HATE home depot, so screw them anyway you can, if it works it works I guess? good luck, I don't judge people, its your time, do with it what you like...

Yeah, After doing it a few times with store credit (and realizing that it could become a problem), I started using only my personal credit card so that they could look it up. After doing this deal, about a month later I made a return on store credit (a $30 item), and it blacklisted me. After waiting the 90 days and Customer Care looked into me so that they could take me off the list, I had accumulated over $30k in returns this year, ALL due to this deal LOL. They freaked out at that (even though I had receipts and they were all legit purchases) and I'm stuck in blacklist-limbo.

From now on, I use nothing besides a credit card at HD

Wow! 30k in returns in one year? Care to elaborate?

You would have to do the buy and return thing like 80 times to accumulate $30,000 in returns. I would guess he sold some of the tools as who would need 80 bare tools?

I would open up a chat window and mention this to them, see if they will match the price. I noticed this too, on a bunch of items.

Think that's a good idea when I've already bought 2 dewalt kits with m18 tools and returned both? lol

To the guy wanting the 4.0/charger kit: the 5.0ah and charger kit was the same price previously and currently

so i couldnt help myself.. i got it on my head that i wanted the m18 blower and i couldnt sleep without finally ordering it. i know i have a serious shipping addiction and this doest help.. ordered the blower to be shipped to home, and the $369 dewalt kit for store pickup so they dont have to open any boxes up to inspect them. saves me a trip down there since i can do it over the phone, but since HD is only 2 minutes from home ill prob just go there to take care of it anyway.. i think im done with my tool collection now, i have 3 different things that just blow air around... (said that 5 tools ago)

edit - until they come out with a fuel jigsaw, of a coffee maker like makita :)
2nd edit - or maybe the tripod light ..

My HD actually had a charged battery on the display blower. I played around with it, and I have to say I was impressed. My only gripe is I am hesitant to how long it will last on a battery.

Cleaned my gutters on 1 charge, worked great!

Did you do this in-store? The website won't allow this combination to be eligible for the $150 off. I'm thinking about getting the XT324 kit for my father and keeping the grinder for myself. I lost my corded grinder somewhere and rarely use a grinder enough to need a cord.

Online is preferred because I could do a store pickup order and just cancel the Dewalt kit so I don't have to do a return and have them tear the Dewalt kit open.

I bought the $399 kit and a 1/2" impact and then returned the 399 combo. After all it only discounted the impact of 50 bux. Does this look correct?

Yes, thats what it should come down to.

( 199 / (399 + 199) ) * 150 = 49.92 discount off the impact

199 - 49.92 = 149.08

If you wanted to save a bit more you could have used the $369 DeWalt kit and asked for the 5% Lowes match.

Tried to take out a lug nut and got it off with ease. It's heavy like a mofo, but nice to have without busting out air tools!

Yes, I did this in the store. I saw it wasn't working on the website and I knew I could get them to do it in the store. But there was no hassle has it rang up with the discount automatically. It's easy peasy to just purchase both kits, drop kit keeping in the car, and walk back in the other door and return. I have not had anybody attempt to open a kit and look. I just say I didn't need it and never opened it. No questions asked.

What's the best deal on the Milwaukee 2530-20 saw?

Just learned about it and I think I'd like to have one. I don't like circular saws as it is but the light weight and lack of cord appeals to me for the light duty cuts I'd use it for. Already have a bunch of M12 batteries.
