16' span w 12 inch header??

Racking my brain here on how to get my 9 foot tall garage door its headroom of 12 inches. The flat slab is poured w no curb. My plan so far is to make my wall 10 feet 6 inches. The LVL my plans call for is a 16 inch. So I thought of a double top and bottom wall plates. (single top over the header) Easy peasy.. I can frame this. BUT, I wonder if there's a better way. Be nice if I could make walls at 10' even. My header and a single top plate couldn't go over 12 inches w a span of 16 feet. Possible?

Yes, I would think. Its a 26x40 garage w hip roof all the way around

Put in a concrete block, (CMU) stem wall. One or two courses and build from that.

It would be ok with no top plate over header. Single sill plate and double top plate gets you there. Header should go corner to corner.
