Keep up the good work and keep us posted , my brother worked [gas jockey]for a shell station in the early 60's....A & J Shell ............like most gas stations had an old wrecker, 1954 Ford with name on door and the owners "jalopy" stock car with his AJ Shell adverising on it, these would look way cool standing out there! Most stations [almost all as I remember] back then did tires, repair work ,Lubes etc........back when there was a whole middleclass of business owners....dry cleaners ,drug store, hardware store, diners, restaurants, jewelry, butcher, baker, fish store etc that what supported the towns and local Little leagues etc........most are all gone as the multinational chains are running the show sucking all that posterity out of the area....
