Can't help with plans, but check out the Lets see your garage or garage gallery threads. Filled with info and pics. What do you plan on using it for? Storage? Auto work? Woodworking? All of the above? And are you also going to be using it to park in at the same time. This info will help a lot too.
By the way...Welcome to the GJ Forums.

If your into Garage stuff...building things, cars etc... Go as large as you can ! Not much later in time after you have filled your garage you will say... "I need a bigger one"

An option is to place a bigger slab than building. Make the slab one bay wider just to park on. If you build a gable roof you can add a cart port or more enclosed garage later if the need and money arise.

If you have even a shortbed truck I'd go deeper or you won't be able to make full use of the walls for storage, you'll be squeezing past the bumper. Make it 4' deeper (minimum) than your longest vehicle. Depends if you are just wanting to store vehicles or use it for repairs, workshop, etc.

Spend some time analyzing what you are going to use the garage for. Jot down what you want to do in there. Mark out your proposed layout on a big piece of graph paper, and cut out scale objects out of cardboard or construction paper to represent your garage items. Include any vehicles you are going to be parking inside. Doing something like this can give you an idea of problem areas for movement (tools being too close together). Think about things like material storage. Thinking about a lift? You need to allow clearance around and overhead.

Don't forget to factor in windows and lighting. Which direction is the building going to face? Morning or afternoon sun?

I used the FBI buildings online design program (see their website) to layout my vehicles and work bench. Then I had a pole barn company quote me to build it.

Most large lumber yards (84 lumbers, Carters etc..) will design it for oyu and give you the material list, to buy from them of course.

My pole barn will be built in 4 days and it would have cost me 75% of the quote to DIY... well worth my time to have them do it.

It may be over your budget, but you're welcome to use my plans for my 32 x 24.
This is my own design so no problem with copyrights. It's designed as an attached garage but the small mudroom could be skipped for a detached.

Hello Gerald, I'm cutting up some pine trees and wondering if you have a wood cut list for the garage you built that u could share. I like your design.
Is that a Buick in your photo?
Thanks, Allen

Price for my build (finished shell only plus basic electrical - no interior) in 2013 was $57k. It's probably double that now.
