I believe you could use the BendPak XPR-9 and recess the lines in the floor to not have the bump from the floor plate. Off the top of my head that's about the only full size 2 post style lift that will fit under a 11ft ceiling. The Mohawk A7 is another lift you can put the lines in the floor.

I'm a big fan of running the hydraulic (stainless) lines under the concrete floor as I did this for my Mohawk lift. I had the lines set before the concrete floor was poured. That being said, if you have an attic above your 11' ceilings, you could simply run the hydraulic lines through the ceiling, across the rafters and then back down to the other column. This is way easier than running them in the concrete. On the Mohawk, you can shorten or extend the SS hydraulic lines however you want. For those lifts that have cables running between columns, your options are limited.

Mohawk Vs Bendpack....
American Vs Chinese...
Mercedes vs Chevy.

Does that clear it up at all?

With an 11' ceiling most any 2 post lift will work since the columns are only
10' ( or less ) depending on the brand of lift.

The real limiting factor is the height of vehicles you plan to work on. You wont be able to raise a truck / SUV as high as a car.

Go to any "real shop or dealership" where mechanics stand under 1,000s of cars / trucks. 5-7 days a week, 8+ hours a day.

Pay attention to the equipment they use, and then ask yourself is a cheap lift worth your life at your personal garage/shop ?

The Mohawk puts a bend pack to shame....overbuilt American beef

I'll take the 'overbuilt' product with the better safety record... but that's just because I value my life and more so when family and friends want to hang out and lend a hand. (I value their lives too... )

I suggest trying motocross with cheap safety gear or without a helmet and get back to me on this topic...

I assume you are talking about only the floor plate style 2 post. Because most clear floor style 2 post need a ceiling height of 12+ feet.

I've been looking over the various brands of 2-post lifts and have the same problem due to my garage ceiling being 11' 6". I have run across one 2-post lift that doesn't use the base plate and it's the Atlas (Greg Smith Equipment) 9KOH. It does have the crossover piece at the top but the height is adjustable at either 11' 10" or 11' 6". My neighbor has one and we roughly measured his at the higher setting, 11' 10". Let's just say that I'd be snug up to my finished sheetrock even at the 11' 6" dimension. The other two I've been considering at the Challenger with baseplate and the Mohawk A-7. The Mohawk is the most expensive at over $6K and with that adjustable crossover pipe, there is no baseplate to deal with but in my case, their optional screw-type lifting pads are too tall to suit the cars I have.
