2 Post lift comparison (Atlas vs. Derek Weaver)
I'm comparing two lifts at the moment and couldn't find much info on one of them so I figured I would post.
Info: Garage is 24x30x9 but has a section that is 11' above where the lift will go. I know it's less than ideal but it's just for me personally and my family has all small cars.
Because most overhead lifts are 12' I'm going with a baseplate lift. The two I'm comparing are the Atlas BP8000 from Greg Smith and the Derek Weaver W-9f. Cost wise they're equal and I've read good things about both. There are a lot more threads about the BP8000 though so I'm wondering if I should go with that? Honestly the only reason I'm considering the Derek Weaver is because it's red...
I don't know which is better or if they're even any different.
Any suggestions or possibly even a different lift I haven't seen? My one requirement is that the lock release be single point on the column with the power unit.
