Not true, I prefer USA made, but I don't mind European tools (I have a few), I own a Japanese motorcycle it has a bad front stock tire (wobbles above 30 mph), the tire was made in China (many people with same bike had same problem). I do recall being injured when a quality Chinese tool broke. But aside from the unreliability of Chinese tools and the lack of quality control, overlooking the poisoning of our children and pets, the cost of petrol, ripping off American patents, bootlegging American music and movies, not treating their own people right, China and the people that support China by buying their second rate products are doing this country and her people great harm.
I'll try another analogy:
Let's say your daughter is a Girl Scout (pretend if it's not the case) and she sells cookies and the profits go to benefit the American cookie makers (who provides jobs for Americans) and to benefit the Girl Scouts, one of them being a family member but also local friends and residents. Now a girl from the town over who is here on a temporary visa is selling "American Girl" cookies, they're made and packaged in China and all the proceeds go back to China so they can buy more fuel (driving prices up around the world) and develop more sophisticated weapons to sell to our enemies and kill our service people.
Now these "American Girl" cookies look the same, even the box looks the same, they taste similar but they are $2.00 a box cheaper and you really like cookies and could end up saving as much as $100 dollars. Independent tests show they are just as good Girl Scout cookies and even have more nutritional value if they don't kill you or a loved one.
What cookies are you going to buy? And why?
As far as I'm concerned you can buy whatever tools you want but that doesn't mean I have have to like them or agree that they are on par with Snap On or even close. Even if they were equivalent I'd buy the US made tools. I'm just sharing my opinion you don't have to agree but maybe a few will open their eyes before all you can buy is Chinese tools. It's not just about the quality and the price.
