Here's one CL purchase from last week. The add was for a box of extra and seconds of hand tools. He wanted $40 but we settled at $30 and really I'm not sure that was such a good deal after sorting through it all today. Much of it is cheap Chicom and Taiwan stuff or Kobalt. And 3 Neiko combination wrenches which look sturdy but I hear are just cheap China as well. The best stuff which maybe makes it worth the cost are the flare tool kit and pipe cutter, the Armstrong 15" adjustable wrench, a couple Channellock Pliers and the Proto Challenger 3/4" combination wrench. Those are probably the keepers and everything else goes in the next garage sale to help get part of my $30 back.

What do you think the back ground on that box is, 1940's socket set perhaps? With the leather handle yet more modern emblem than a 1930's box. For someone that doesn't know wilton's how wide are the jaws on that one? 3.5-4"?
