DT man: Just curious, would those M14 strippers also work for an M1G? both use the same base on the cart.
Yes, the strippers will hold 7.62mm NATO (.308 Winchester), which is based on the .30-06 Springfield cartridge. So the strippers can hold either .308 or .30-06 rounds.
HOWEVER,
The M-1 Garand is set up only to take the 8-round en-bloc clip, so having 5 rounds of .30-06 on a stripper clip like these would still be useless to a Garand. It WOULD, however, work fine if you have a M1903 Springfield rifle from WW1 or WW2, which loads from 5-rd clips as standard.
I have a match M1A which is always hungry for rounds fed from stripper clips. I also have several FN/FAL based rifles which use the same style clips.

) I get there and the hand vise is gone...just my luck, then I walk out to the garage and the Gerstner(missing a long drawer and front cover, not to mention total **** condition) is marked with the red pen, that means no 50% off on that item price remains as marked $49. That's a lil too rich for my blood in that condition so I dug through the rest of the unwanted remaining **** to find this other tape dispenser, NIB. This guy reminds me of me, he had two pair of nut buster pliers, two pair of snap on hose pliers, two tape dispensers, two etc...
